The New Friday The 13th To Feature Jason, Pamela And Elias Voorhees

We will soon be returning to Camp Crystal Lake. Friday the 13th has not one, but two reboots in the works. After several delays the second reboot, produced by Brad Fuller, is now set to premiere in January of 2017, though a director has yet to be found. Fuller dropped a few details about the film in a conversation with The Reel World recently. According to Fuller, the script penned by Aaron Guzikowski delves into Jason’s backstory and that it is not an origin story we’ve seen before. “Aaron’s story has great characters…You kind of have to understand Jason Voorhees, so we go back and we kind of started over and work our way forward,” Fuller told The Reel World. “[It’s] origin-ish, but it’s an origin that no one has seen before. Obviously Pamela’s there, but it’s a little bit different from what you’ve seen before.” He continued. “There was a lot of found-footage scripts that they wanted us to

John Carpenter Reveals His Opinion Of The Friday The 13th Franchise, And It Isn’t Good

During a recent podcast John Carpenter expressed his hatred for the Friday the 13th franchise. In his discussion with Bret Easton Ellis about his involvement as executive producer for the new upcoming Halloween film currently in development, Carpenter ripped the 1980 horror classic a new one with a string of insults, basically calling them copycats and reviving the long running feud between the two franchises. “I think the reason that all these slasher movies came in the 80’s was a lot of folks said, ‘Look at that Halloween movie. It was made for peanuts, and look at the money it has made. We can make money like that. That’s what the teenagers want to see’. THR quoted Carpenter as saying. “So they just started making them, cranking them out. Most of them were awful.” I reached out to Friday the 13th‘s creator Victor Miller to find out what he thought about Carpenter’s statement. Miller’s response was not only civil, but

Stolen Innocence Photography’s ‘Blood Dress’ Taking The Horror Communtiy Storm

An image, titled “Blood Dress”, from photographer Melissa Trotter, is taking the horror community by storm. Trotter, owner of Stolen Innocence Photography, has an amazing talent for capturing the dark and beautiful. Blood Dress I spoke to Trotter about her artwork/photography. When asked about where she draws her inspiration from she simply answered “Everywhere.” Sacrifice Trotter rarely photos anything other than images of her design. The reason, she said she felt like she “would be cheating people. I’ve found that I only get really excited about doing my own designs. That might sound selfish, but it’s true.” When I asked Trotter if she had a favorite image so far, she spoke like a true artist, answering that “They are all my favorites, each for a different reason.” While scrolling through her website, I discovered exactly what she meant. Each image is dark and captivating, with no two photographs alike. Little Lost Girl It’s hard to believe that this incredibly talented
