Leatherface, Norman Bates And Buffalo Bill, All Inspired By One Man And This Is His Story

WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT AND IMAGES ! Three of the most recognized characters from classic horror films are Leatherface, Buffalo Bill and Norman Bates. All three are based on the true story of one killer, Ed Gein. Of course, several other films and series have taken inspiration from the Gein story, including Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, and “Bloody Face” from American Horror Story. He also had several films made in his own name. But how much do you really know about Gein? Let me fill you in. Edward Theodore Gein, born August 27, 1906, was a sheltered boy overly attached to his abusive mother. His over-religious mother, Augusta, was determined to keep Gein and his brother isolated as much as possible, believing there was evil everywhere you turned in the world. She was so obsessed with sin that she once poured boiling water over Gein’s privates when she caught him touching himself. Gein’s father, a

Horror Classic Witchfinder General To Be Remade

Hollywood’s new obsession is remaking every horror movie possible, at least that how it seems. Now, 1968’s Witchfinder General, also known as The Conqueror Worm, originally starred horror icon Vincent Price and directed by Michael Reeves, has been added to the long list of movies being remade over the next two years. Witchfinder General, based on the 1966 novel by Ronald Bassett of the same name, centers on a young soldier determined to end the evils done by a vicious and greed driven witch hunter. Nicholas Winding Refn, known for his films Drive and the upcoming film The Neon Demon, will be heading the project. There is no word yet who will be in the director’s chair or who will be cast. But whoever is cast in the role of Matthew Hopkins, Price’s role, has some big shoes to fill.

From Director Luke Scott And Producer Ridley Scott Comes The Horror-Scifi Film Morgan

Luke Scott’s sci-fi thriller Morgan has released a new teaser trailer, which has a serious Alien vibe. It’s not surprising, Luke Scott’s father is none other than legendary director Ridley Scott, who is a producer for the film. The trailer is dark and the lullaby playing in the background makes it very creepy. We see a child that has been created as part of an experiment, developing at an alarming rate. In Morgan “A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human”, who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.” “What ‘Morgan’ really alludes to is human begins becoming, in a sense, the creator. Not in a traditional religious sense, but an idea that we have the capabilities to become our own creator. And what I suspect could happen – we’ve seen it

The Conjuring 2’s New Featurette Contains Real Audio From The Warren’s Investigation

In the Conjuring 2, directed by James Wan, we witness Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to England in the 1970s to investigate the poltergeist activity plaguing a single mother and her children. Referred to as “The Enfield Poltergeist”, the real life haunting is the most well documented paranormal events in history. The Hodgson family experienced voices, levitations, manifestations and violence mainly directed towards one girl, Janet. The Warrens are still recognized as the most famous paranormal/supernatural investigators of all time. In both The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 the Warrens are played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The first film was scary, but I expect the sequel to be terrifying. Franka Potente, Frances O’Conner, David Thewlis, Naria Doyle Kennedy, Javier Jerins, Sterling James, Robin Atkins Downes, Simon McBurney, Madison Wolfe, Shannon Kook, Lauren Esposito and Steve Coulter star along side Wilson and Farmiga. In one featurette for The Conjuring 2 we see the real Lorraine Warren and Janet Hodgson
