Director and co-screenwriter Anthony Brownigg is continuing the story-line his father, S.F. Brownigg, began. Brownigg’s Don’t Look in the Basement 2 is set forty years after his father’s film, The Forgotten, originally titled Don’t Look in the Basement, ended. Don’t Look in the Basement 2 follows the only known survivor of a mass murder returns to the institution where the brutal killings took place. The survivor’s presence triggers a series of increasingly disturbing events. Anthony Brownigg made the following statement: As a young boy watching my father direct Don’t Look in the Basement, I couldn’t have known that it would define his career as a director. He always wanted to produce a sequel, and as I grew older we talked about the storyline, but sadly he was lost to us before he could complete it. I spent 20 years looking for the right opportunity to film a sequel, but I wasn’t the only one. Because my father’s film is now

The theatrical and VOD release date Mickey Keating’s survival-thriller Carnage Park has been set as July 1st, according to Entertainment Weekly. Carnage Park follows two bank robbers fleeing to the desert after a robbery goes wrong. The duo stumble across Carnage Park, a remote stretch of wilderness that a psychotic ex-military sniper prowls. Carnage Park is my total love letter to Peckinpah, and Deliverance, and 70’s survival movies,” Keating said. “It’s set in 1978 and it’s a crime story [which] turns into a fight for survival. It’s hard to categorize in a way, because it’s an energetic crime movie that goes horribly horribly awry. I think it’s going to be something different for people. “The year is 1978. After botching an ill-conceived bank robbery in a desolate California town, two wannabe crooks named Scorpion Joe (James Landry Hébert) and Lenny (Michael Villar) flee the scene with a hostage, Vivian (Ashley Bell), and lead the local lawmen on a dangerous high-speed

Since I first heard about The Witch early last year I’ve been waiting for my opportunity to see it. Like many people, I had to wait until it was released on DVD and Blu-ray. Finally, last night I got my chance. Both written and directed by Robert Eggers, who I think is simply brilliant, The Witch follows a family cast out of their village in the 1630s. The family finds a plot of land to settle that is bordered by a forest, rumored to be the home of witches and dark spirits. During a game of peek-a-boo between the oldest daughter, Thomasin (Anya Taylor-Joy), and her youngest sibling Samuel, the baby disappears without a trace. This is just the first of many tragic events the family is about to face. The harder their life becomes the harder they pray, but find no relief. The family begins to suspect someone among them has been tainted by evil and the main suspect
