Sean S. Cunningham On The New Friday The 13th Series

Series creator, Sean S. Cunningham recently discussed his new project, the Friday the 13th series coming to the CW, with FANGORIA. A lot of horror fans have doubts about the new show and its choice of networks, but Cunningham seems confident that the series will do great. “We went with CW because they are probaly the most successful genre distributor in the world because not only strong in the U.S., but around the world with their other titles, in particular Arrow and The Flash. They know that market and they know their audience. They’re very smart and very psyched about doing the project.” The series will focus on a detective and his quest to find his missing brother, some how tied to Jason Voorhees. Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse Getting Early Release

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse will be coming to DVD on December 8th, just 39 days after it’s theatrical premiere. Christopher Landon, who also directed ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’, is behind the film about three Scouts who join forces with a bad-ass waitress to survive when their town is swarmed by zombies. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse stars Patrick Shchwarzenegger, Tye Sheridan, Halston Sage, David Koechner and Jesica Ahlberg, among others. Human zombies aren’t the only things the cast will have to face. They also have to dodge, a horde of crazy zombie kitties who want to make a meal out of the group. Scouts Guide is just one of several new films that will be part of Paramount’s experiment that will test if the normal 90-day period studios wait to release films on DVD is really the right way to go. Either way, fans are grateful for the early releases.

The Trailer For Doron and Yoav Paz’s Biblical Horror Film Jeruzalem Released

A group of Americans travel to Israel to visit the city of Jerusalem. After they arrive, they are caught within the ancient city’s walls as a biblical apocalypse begins. The Paz brothers, Doron and Yoav, together, wrote and directed Jeruzalem. The film stars Yael Grobglas, Yon Tumarkin and Danielle Jadelyn. Jeruzalem will be released in the U.S. some time in 2016 through the Epic Pictures Group.

Real Creatures That Belong In Horror Films – Part I

There are a lot of strange creatures on Earth. Some look like they’re from another world, others look like they escaped from scene out of a horror film. A lot of people find sharks terrifying, but the Goblin Shark looks like something that would make you want to avoid the ocean for the rest of your life. The Goblin Shark is pink, with a mouth that shoots out of it’s face. The shark can reach up to 3.84 meters long. It’s so strange that it does not fit in any other shark family. Don’t worry, the odds of you running into this creepy creature are slim, it prefers the deep sea. For zombie fans, the next oddity should be right up your ally. Technically this strange thing is a fungus, but I believe it belongs on this list. You Better Watch Out, Krampus Is Coming To Town This Weekend!

Legendary Pictures in-conjunction with Universal will be unleashing Michael Dougherty’s holiday-horror-film, Krampus, in theaters this weekend. The film follows Max, played by Emjay Anthony (Insurgent), a young man who has turned his back on Christmas. During the holiday, as his family’s dysfunction reaches an all time high, Krampus, an ancient deity who punishes bad children on Christmas, is unleashed. The bickering family must find a way to work to together if they want to survive. Krampus stars ‘Parks and Recreation’ actor Adam Scott, Toni Collette (Hostages), Allison Tolman (Fargo), David Koechner (Anchorman), Conchata Ferrell (Mr. Deeds) and Stefania Owen of ‘The Lovely Bones’. ‘Krampus’ was written by Todd Casey and Michael Dougherty, who also directed the film. Wolf Cop 2 Begins Filming Soon !

The sequel to 2014’s horror-comedy Wolf Cop, Wolf Cop 2, will begin filming in Saskatchewan, Canada in February, and we couldn’t be more excited! In Wolf Cop we were introduced to Lou Garou (Leo Fafard), an alcohol chugging, lazy, small town cop. Lou was a poor excuse for a cop and a human being, that was until he was the victim of an assault and a dark ritual in the back woods after a call. The ritual transformed Lou into a werewolf and a better man. Lou’s now on a mission to rid his town of corruption and drug dealers. He also happens to be a bit of a party animal. The First Photos From The Set Of The Conjuring 2

James Wan, who is directing The Conjuring 2, has released a series of photos from the set of the film, which is currently shooting in London. Wan penned the script for the film, along with Carey and Chad Hayes, who also wrote the script for first film. New Line Cinema has set the release date as June 10, 2016. The film, a sequel to the 2013 The Conjuring, is based on Ed and Loraine Warren’s investigation that took place in the 1970’s, in England, when a single mother and her children were plagued by intense paranormal activity. The incident is referred to as “The Enfield Haunting’ or “The Enfield Poltergeist”. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising their roles as the famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who carried out many real paranormal and supernatural investigations. A Group Of Friends Fight To Survive The Night In ‘Blackburn’

Production company 3B has announced that Archstone Distribution has acquired the rights to the action-packed horror film Blackburn, under their genre arm, Tombstone Distribution. Blackburn stars an experienced cast, including Ken Kirzinger (Freddy vs. Jason), Brad Loree (Halloween: Resurrection), Lochlyn Munro (Assault on Wall Street) and Emilie Ullerup (A Little Bit Zombie), Disney’s Calum Worthy ( Austin and Ally), Zach Peledeau, Alexander Calvert and Wolf Cop’s Sarah Lind. The Soska Sisters, Jen and Sylvia Soska, writers, directors and the hosts of GSN’s Hellevator, will also be appearing in the film. The film was written by Nastasha Baron and directed by Lauro Chatrand (Born to Raise Hell). Chartrand had this to say about the film’s cast and crew: “Blackburn has one of the strongest cast and crews that I’ve seen and I’ve worked on dozens and dozens of productions over the past 25 years.
