WARNING SPOILERS “Walking Dead” fans are in for a rough season. As the beloved show approaches its ninth season, there are multiple reports confirming at least one major character is leaving the series. While there are multiple contracts that will run out at the end of season nine which is currently filming, it has been confirmed by Collider that at least one main character is leaving. We’re sorry to say that it is actor Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes. It’s unclear at the moment how his character will exit the show. There is also talk the Lauren Cohan (Maggie) will also leave before the end of season nine, since her contract only brings her back for six episodes of the season. Cohan has two movies in the final stages of production, Mile 22 and Whiskey Cavalier. Keep an eye out for those. Now that we’ve given you the bad news, we can give you some good. I doubt Norman

Back in May, we reported that Jamie Foxx had been offered the role of Spawn in Todd McFarlane‘s new film. Today, it has been confirmed by Deadline, Jamie Foxx is our new Spawn! See, this all started five years ago when Foxx told Movies.com that he would love to pay the part. “Spawn is one, yeah. And Mike Tyson,” Foxx stated. “Those are two roles I would just love to do. I’m aggressively pursuing them.” McFarlane has been teasing that the comic adaptation, backed by Blumhouse, will feature a lot of “big name” actors, and Foxx is definitely one of them, though the others have not been named so far. Foxx will play the role of Lieutenant Colonel Al Simmons who is killed and returns from Hell as Spawn, a soldier in the Devil’s army. Sony is serious about building its Marvel shared universe. Venom, starring Tom Hardy, will open in theaters this October. One of the other films on the menu for Sony is Morbius. The first details for Morbius, the vampire comic adaptation which we last reported on back in November of last year, has been uncovered by The Hashtag Show who reportedly reached out to Sony for an update. According to the site, in the movie, Morbius is a “Horror action story of a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transformed himself into a living vampire who, though disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.” The site also reported that Sony gave them the basic description of the type of actor the studio is looking to cast. Sometime in 2018, the most anticipated pole playing horror game will bring new cosmic horrors to gamers everywhere, “The Call Of Cthulhu”. The game, from Cyanide Studio, is an adaptation of the RPG boardgame based on the famed short story written by H.P. Lovecraft in 1926 before being published in 1928. Players will take on the role of a private investigator named Edward Pierce as he investigates the mysterious death of an artist named Sarah Hawkins on the mysterious island of Darkwater. As Pierce, players can recruit others to help him investigate different cases on the island in an open-world setting, all the while facing your own sanity as madness slowly grips you. Mike Flanagan (Oculus, Hush) was asked last year what other Stephen King novel he would like to adapt following his fantastic adaptation of King’s Gerald’s Game (review) for Netflix. His answer, Doctor Sleep, King’s sequel to The Shining. His wish was granted. Warner Bros. announced earlier this year that the film was on its way. Today, we’ve learned that the adaptation has landed a 2020 release date. “Doctor Sleep takes place years after the events at the Overlook Hotel and focuses on the now middle-aged Danny who is still traumatized. He’s followed in his father’s footsteps and has problems with anger management and alcoholism. He soon gives up drinking and settles in a small town in New Hampshire. While there, his psychic abilities start to resurface and he develops a psychic link with a 12-year-old girl named Abra Stone who he must save after he discovers her life is being threatened by a tribe of paranormals led by a man

John Wick director Chad Stahelcki is teaming up with “Colony” creator Ryan Condal for the adaptation of the sci-fi comic Analog, THR reports. Set in the near-future, “the security of the internet has been rendered useless thanks to an event referred to as the Great Doxxing. Out of those ashes, people turn to so-called Ledger Men, agents who carry sensitive secrets the old-fashioned way — with a briefcase handcuffed to one arm and a gun held in the other.” The first issue of Image Comic’s Analog, from writer Gerry Duggan and artist David O’Sullivan, was released in April.

The show followed the fictionalized account of the doomed Franklin Expedition based on the novel of the same name written by Dan Simmons, where the stranded English crew must face an unknown mythical beast in the arctic wasteland as well as each other. The series follows Captain Crozier (Jared Harris) who struggles with the freezing elements along with his inner demons (alcoholism). After the death of Captain Franklin (Ciarán Hinds), Crozier is now forced to lead the remaining men while at the same time coming to terms that the ships he and his fellow officers and what remains of the crew have to leave the shelter of their stuck ships and move across land. You get the Webtoon Apocalyptic Horseplay by artist Boredman. The story follows Angela, a former journalist student who’s trying to make a name for herself by investigating a strange newspaper that only reports positive news. She soon finds that the authors of the paper are the Four Horsemen who have retired and renounced their ways and wish to live quietly in England. The discovery soon sparks unwanted attention from a secretive society of monster hunters and a child who is the antichrist. It should be noted that a couple of the characters who appear in Apocalyptic Horseplay have appeared first in another one of Boredman’s comics, Undeaded, which is another excellent Webtoon! Again on Line Webtoon, I’ve discovered a little gem, a comic by Spanish artist Rumbo (Josué Rumbo) titled My name is Death. The comic follows the grim reaper himself and the shenanigans that arise as he works. Death himself looks a bit different from what we think of him, he’s a little guy with a wicked sense of humor that resembles Deadpool (who makes an appearance in one of the comics.) The comics are a perfect mix of silliness, pop culture references, and at times social commentary. When the series first started the drawings looked different but as the series progresses the drawings become cleaner (thanks to donations from readers) Overall, My name is Death is a funny little comic strip that updates weekly if you like dark humor, sarcasm, and even a little cuteness; this comic is for you!
