Django begins with a mother fuckin’ banger of an opening where our titular hero (Franco Nero) drags a coffin through a muddy hellscape as what is inarguably the greatest opening theme in the history of mother fuckin’ anything belts out of your speakers like a hot blast of lead to your eerie earholes! Soon Django comes upon Maria (Loredana Nusciak), a woman beleaguered by Mexican revolutionaries, subsequently rescued by a racist, ex-Confederate posse, and then put to the torch by the same… well, at least she would have been if not for the lightning gunwork of our hero, himself a soldier of the North at one time. Blu-ray Review: Strike Commando 2 (1988)

Everyone’s favorite Rambo surrogate, Ransom, is back on the scene in Bruno Mattei’s 1988 follow-up to his batshit action pic Strike Commando (which I reviewed right here), the reasonably titled Strike Commando 2! While Ransom may be back, Reb Brown sure as shit isn’t… so this time we follow The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak’s Brent Huff (who looks more like Solid Snake than Rambo once kitted up) on a mission to rescue Maj. DVD Review: Incarnation (2016)

Down Serbia way, a dude keeps doing the wakey-wakey bag in town square and immediately gets ventilated by a mysterious cadre of well-dressed masked gunman. Then he wakes up and has to do that shit over, and over, and even mother fuckin’ over, and peep this, he gets closer to solving the mystery of his demise with each go around! Making good use of that aforementioned square (although our hero gets further away with each dose of the ol’ murder biz, we always go back to that central location), Incarnation, the debut feature from Filip Kovacevic (who also co-wrote the film with Masa Senicic and Ivan Senicic) is a tense, fast-paced mystery that will have your ass on the eerie edge of your seat from start to finish! Sure we’ve seen flicks like this before (Groundhog Day immediately comes to mind… though that one is a damn sight lighter than this nail-biter), but this picture has so many interesting angles

Phsychoplogical Horror-Thriller ‘Blurred Vision’ Out Today On DVD & Digital

Ivan Elmer makes his feature directorial debut with the Danish psychological horror-thriller Blurred Vision. Blurred Vision (originally titled Tågesyn) follows Andre (Niklas Herskind, Neon Heart) and Elisa (Ida Rasmussen, People Get Eaten), a couple who has recently discovered they’re expecting their first child. The First Look At Sequel ‘Wyrmwood: Apocalypse’ Teases An Action-Packed Zombie Flick

Back in 2015 an Aussie zombie flick, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, made big waves in the genre. They’re back with a new sequel, titled Wyrmwood: Apocalypse and we’re psyched! Take a look at the first images from the movie below! Archlight Films Chairman Gary Hamilton made the announcement today that they will distribute the action-packed zombie flick. Yellow Veil Pictures Acquires Mattie Do’s Sci-fi Thriller ‘The Long Walk’

Yellow Veil Pictures has snagged the North American rights to Mattie Do‘s acclaimed Laos sci-fi thriller The Long Walk and is set to release it in early 2022. The film tells “the story of an elderly man who has the power to travel back in time thanks to a mysterious spectral companion whose death he witnessed fifty years earlier. He decides to trespass into his own past and set in motion a plan to preempt his mother’s terminal suffering, and ultimately appease his soul.” The Long Walk made its world premiere at the 76th Venice International Film Festival in the Giornate degli Autori section and later went on to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Contemporary World Cinema program, Fantastic Fest, and Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.
