Our First Look At Bill Skarsgard As Pennywise In The Upcoming IT Remake

We reported earlier this month that Bill Skarsgard has been cast as Pennywise, originally played by Tim Curry, the terrifying entity that appears as a clown in the remake of the mini series based on Stephen King’s novel IT. Skarsguard, most well known for his role on Eli Roth’s Netflix Original series Hemlock Grove and in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, will be putting on full makeup for the first time. Today, we finally get a look at Skarsgard as Pennywise, the clown that caused many people to develop a fear of all clowns, courtesy of a fan’s artwork. He looks scary in the poster below, but I look forward to seeing an actual photo of Skarsgard as the creepy clown. Andy Muschietti (Mama) will be in the director’s chair for the two-part remake of IT. The first film centers on a group of teens, referred to as “The Losers Club”, who go head-to-head with the entity that takes the shape

Clowns have long been feared. Makeup hiding their true identity, their evil grins, their strange sense of humor, it gives me the creeps just thinking about them. The creators of the upcoming film Clown Town, about a pack of psychotic clowns, are capitalizing on our fears of those wearing the big red nose. Directed by Tom Nagel, Clown Town follows a group of friends who are stranded in a seemingly deserted small town and find themselves stalked by a violent gang of violent psychotic men dressed as clowns. Clown Town stars Brian Nagel, Katie Keene, Lauren Elise, Greg Violand, Jeff Denton, Maryann Nagel, and Kaitlyn Sapp. The demented clowns are played by David H. Greathouse, Ryan Pilz, Chris Hahn, Alann Tuskes and Beki Ingram. Clown Town will be released later this year, in the mean time here’s the trailer to tide you over.
