Game Review: ‘Stray Souls’

Happy Halloween! Nothing better to celebrate it than with a spooky game, am I right? Well, that was what I was hoping for with Jukai Studio’s and Versus Evil’s Stray Souls, a horror survival that I’ve been excited about since I was first told about it. I appreciate Jukai and Versus Evil for allowing this reviewing opportunity but, I’m sorry to say that this was a rough one to get through. Let’s get the positive parts of the game out of the way first. The soundtrack is possibly the selling point for the game with famed gaming composer Akira Yamaoka on board. The only issue is that while playing Stray Souls, I was able to make out at least two songs that were done by him, causing me to wonder if he only did a couple of songs for this game. Unfortunately, as a whole, Stray Souls was rough to play. The game had a lot of potential but in

The Very Best Horror Games On A Variety Of Platforms Right Now

In the same way that there can be a shoddy horror release in the movie sphere, it can also most definitely happen in the gaming world. In fact, over the years, we’ve been treated to some painfully bad horror games. Thankfully, for horror gamers, we’ve also had a selection of masterpieces to slash our way through. These days, horror games are fairly diverse. From psychological terrors to games with a strong horde shooter aspect, there are plenty of solid products to get through on a selection of gaming platforms. The mobile category is now serving up an even stronger offering, while highly sophisticated console machines, such as a PlayStation 5, offer an immaculate horror gaming experience given the souped-up graphics that it boasts. Additionally, virtual reality gaming has added another layer of intrigue to this popular category, while people also turn to other gaming platforms for a few hair-raising moments. Change Fates In ‘The Walking Dead: Destines’

The Walking Dead is, without a doubt, a popular franchise with many devoted fans, and many, like myself, stopped watching the show after it became clear that the show had a rinse-and-repeat plot that dragged on for far too long. Current and former fans can change things in AMC and GameMill Entertainment’s The Walking Dead: Destines. The Walking Dead: Destines is a third-person action-adventure where players can make choices that will change events in the story of the survivors trying to make their way during a zombie apocalypse. Players can make big choices that will affect the game’s story and the fate of other characters like picking who will survive the infamous faceoff between Rick and Shane. Players can build up a roster from over twelve characters from the show, manage resources, defend their camp, rescue survivors, and fight enemies stealthily or guns blazing. The Walking Dead: Destines will be launching digitally on November 17th and physically December 1st for

A third-person perspective adventure game, blending exploration with environmental puzzles and a touch of platforming. However, steeped in themes of sin, sorrow, and moral dilemmas. The story of INDIKA does not end there, the story of its Developers, Odd Meter, is quite mindblowing as well! Odd Meter is a 16-person team from Russia, who had to uproot their lives and flee to Kazakhstan after Russia invaded Ukraine. Even before the war, Odd Meter was in talks with 11 Bit about doing INDIKA, and at the time Odd Meter was already risking their freedom as the topic

Game Review: ‘Lords Of The Fallen’

Souls Games… Nothing gets the blood pumping more than a game where defeat is part of the story and repetitive action to earn back lost points while running the risk of losing them forever, using skills you normally don’t use in other games and the fact that you’re playing this willingly… Some run marathons, while others take on a game like Lords of the Fallen. I would like to thank CI Games and Hexworks for sending me a copy of this glorious nightmare, I mean that in a good way! Lords of the Fallen takes you to the land of Mournsted, where the five beacons of Hallowed Sentinels have become corrupted and will allow Adyr, a demon god, to return. Players take on the role of a resurrected individual who must take on the role of a Dark Crusader and stop the demon god’s return. Lords of the Fallen‘s controls are pretty involved, so paying close attention to the tutorial
