Comic book creator and writer Mark L. Miller took us inside two of his upcoming comics, ‘Gravetrancers’ and ‘Piourette’, during our recent interview. We did get a full look at both issues. While we can’t reveal the details I can tell you that both are well written and the art is dark and fantastic. They both get two thumbs up from us. Want to know more? Check out the interview and hear details from Miller himself. Horror Fuel: “When did you discover your love for comics?” MLM: “I think I learned how to read from comics. At a really early age, my father would take me to the corner store and let me pick out a comic book. I think the earliest ones I can remember was the original Contest of Champions miniseries that introduced me to the entire Marvel Universe. It was amazing and I wanted to learn more and more about all of these great characters. I was

One of the most important keys to how we perceive films, shows, and games is the music that sets the tone of each scene. I recently spoke with composer and musician Penka Kouneva about her past and present projects and how she found her way to music and to the US. You may not realize it, but you have heard Penka’s work many times before in films like Elysium, Act of Valor, Angels & Demons, Freaks of Nature, Heroes and Legends and the recently released genre film Devil’s Whisper. Horror Fuel: “How did you become a composer?” Penka Kouneva: I have been drawn to music since early childhood. My mother is a teacher of music theory for a college. There was always music in our house. She took me to concerts. I felt emotionally drawn to it when I listened to music as a child. I always imagined stories and settings. Music for me was always associated with storytelling. That’s

I sat down with Glenn Herdling to talk comics and to discuss the first two novels of his ‘Piper’ Series. During our conversation, he also told me about his days as a Marvel Editor and a comic book writer. He took us inside the first novel, ‘Piper Houdini: Apprentice of Coney Island’, and revealed how the character was born and teased where the second book, ‘Piper Houdini: Nightmare on Esopus Island’, will take readers. Horror Fuel: “So, comics, huh?” Glenn Herdling: “Yeah, comics. I have some experiences with writing some horror things for Marvel in my time there including one of the long forgotten characters, Simon Garth, the original Marvel Zombie. I brought him into the fold. He isn’t really a toxic zombie, more of a Voodoo zombie type. That’s what I have in the Piper Houdini novel, Voodoo zombies.” Horror Fuel: “I’m a big fan of Voodoo zombies.” Glenn Herdling: “Yeah, they are a lot of fun. They bring

I had the opportunity to talk with actor-writer-director-producer Justin Price today who took the time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions about his upcoming film The Elf and The 13th Friday, along with some of his other projects. Horror Fuel: “I’ve heard that you have to loose and gain weight a lot for your roles.” Price: “I had to lose a lot of weight for ‘Alien Reign of Men’. We shot that in Iceland. I thought I would get into some Daniel Day-Lewis character work, right. I tried to look like a heavy, bulky guy, and I put on about 40 pounds. Then I had to drop it, 40 pounds sounds a lot easier than done. Gaining it was easy.” Horror Fuel: “Do you do that a lot?” Price: “What, fluctuate weight? All the time. In ‘The Cloth’ I was about 165, in the ‘Reign of Men’ I was 240, right now I’m at 185. It’s

With ‘Channel Zero: No-End Houe’ approaching its season finale this week we spoke with creator, showrunner, and writer Nick Antosca about last week’s episode, the finale, and a few other things. Horror Fuel asked, “Is there anything you can tell us about the season finale?” Yes the finale is one of my favorite episodes of TV that I have ever written. I co-wrote it with Angel Varak-Iglar. I think it’s the most emotional and emotionally disturbing episode of the show so far. And I also really love the way that Steven directed it and the way that Isaac shot it. There are a couple of moments in it that I am particularly proud of and I don’t want to spoil. But I am also particularly proud of the performances of Amy Forsyth, Jeff Ward, John Carroll Lynch, Aisha Dee, all of them do great work in this last episode. And what it really comes down to is the relationship between

Eric “The Angry Viking” Erickson and I had an interesting conversation about his film Truth, becoming a werewolf, and his role in the upcoming spoof film Snake Outta Compton, which is drawing a lot of attention since its trailer was released last week. Horror Fuel: “On Instagram, where we first connected, you go under the title “The Angry Viking”. That’s a unique title. How did that name come to be?” Erickson: “I got that name when I was doing stand-up comedy. My act was a bit… loud. Ronnie Ray, one of my comedian friends, was hosting a show and after I finished my set he commented to the audience, “Now that’s one Angry #$%^$% Viking!” I liked it and kept the name… although I did clean up the language a bit.” Horror Fuel: “You do look a bit like a Viking.” Horror Fuel: “You appeared on Lucha Underground under The Angry Viking. How many episodes were you on it? Erickson:
