Michael Gross Talks ‘Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell’ & Teases A Sequel In Our Interview

Back in 1990, when Tremors premiered, if you told me that one day I’d be interviewing Michael Gross, I would have told you that you were nuts. But this weekend, it became a reality and I’ll be honest, I had a bit of a fangirl moment. Mr. Gross and I discussed the latest film of the franchise, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell. He shined a new light on the hard as nails character, Graboid slaying Burt Gummer, what drives him, and he talked about Gummer’s relationship with his son Travis (Jamie Kennedy). He also teased the next sequel which will be number 7 for the franchise. Horror Fuel: “What drives Burt Gummer?” Michael Gross: “Well, I think the joy of the hunt. I think he’s a man who needs a purpose. Without a purpose, he’s a bit of a lost individual. You can only sit around your basement and sort your socks and ammunition and your Meals Ready to

Natalie Burn Talks ‘The Executioners’ And ‘Expendables III’ In Our Interview

Natalie Burn, who has appeared in films such as The Expendables III, Awaken, and The Lagoon, took the time out of her busy schedule to talk with me about her role in the film The Executioners (review). The Executioners follows four female friends who go on a retreat to a secluded lakeside cabin. Soon the women realize that they are not alone. When masked intruders invade the cabin the women are thrown into a fight for survival. I’ll be honest, I found The Executioners very hard to watch due to the violence depicted towards the female cast (multiple rapes), so when I was given the chance to ask Natalie about the film I took it. I wanted to know what she went through as an actress during filming. Horror Fuel: “One of your most recent film roles was in ‘The Executioners’, what initially drew you to the script?” Natalie Burn: “I was lucky enough to be one of the first

Prodigy’s Richard Neil Talks Acting & Supernatural Powers In An Interview

Richard Neil, best known for his work as Aratak in the best-selling video game ‘Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds’ and for such films and TV series as “Veronica Mars” and “Eli Stone”, stars in the upcoming supernatural thriller Prodigy, a film about a psychologist who engages a dangerous, young genius in a battle of wits — unaware of the supernatural power the girl possesses, or that her life hangs in the balance. Neil was kind enough to take us inside Prodigy and answer a few of my questions about both the film and his career. Horror Fuel: “: How did your work in theater prepare you for your acting career?” Richard Neil: “Well, for me, it’s getting over yourself, and trying to conquer one’s nerves. Relaxation and staying present really is the secret. Being “in the moment” as they say, not anticipating what is to come. Even though you’ve rehearsed it a thousand times, doing whatever it takes to

An Interview With ‘Corbin Nash’ Actor Chris Pardal

Dancer turned actor Chis Pardal and I recently sat down to talk about his upcoming role in Ben Jagger’s vampire film Corbin Nash. Pardal stars alongside Dean Jagger, Corey Feldman, Malcolm McDowell, and Rutger Hauer in the film about a rogue police detective in search of his parents killer, a vampire. Before we dove into Corbin Nash, Chris and I talked about some of his previous roles. Horror Fuel: “The subjects of human trafficking and illegal aliens have been in the news a lot lately. Did your role in the series ‘Borderline Coyotes’ influence the way you see those subjects?” Chris Pardal: “You know, yes. It was a little bit different back then, it wasn’t in the forefront. The film didn’t deal with sex trafficking. It was about bringing over people illegally basically for slave labor. It changed my outlook on it. I always thought it was terrible, but it narrowed my focus. When you’re playing a bad guy it

Dale Midkiff Talks ‘Pet Semetary’, ‘Hell’s Kitty’, And Cows In An Interview

When I got the opportunity to interview Dale Midkiff, I jumped at the chance. I’ll be honest I may have even had a “fangirl” moment while talking with Dale, the star of one of my favorite classic horror films, Pet Sematary. While he was amazing the film, he’s also had so many roles in a lot of great films and series, including “The Magnificant Seven” series, The Crow: Salvation, Deep Rescue, Flight of the Living Dead, “Dexter”, and most recently Hell’s Kitty. Hell’s Kitty is a cameo-filled horror comedy from writer-director Nicholas Tana about a man and his possessed cat Angel. The cast of Hell’s Kitty sounds like a who’s who of horror with cameos from Midkiff, Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), John Franklin (Children of the Corn), Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet), and Lynn Lowry (The Crazies). Horror Fuel: “You were amazing in ‘Pet Sematary’.

Jamie Bernadette Talks Acting And The State Of Women In The Film Industry

I sat down with actress Jamie Bernadette who has a lot of films coming up, including two films out this April, 4/20 Massacre and Killing Joan. Bernadette gave us insight into the films and a look at what’s to come. Jamie also told us about what it’s like to be a woman in the film industry, harder than you thought it would ever be. Horror Fuel: “Your first two roles were in truth based serial killer films, ‘Son of Sam’ and ‘Nightstalker’, both written and directed by Ulli Lommel. How did that happen?” Jamie Bernadette: “I mean, it just kind of happened. My friend was cast in the lead in ‘Son of Sam’ and referred me for a role. That’s when Ulli Lommel was like ‘Sure, yeah, have her come.’ That’s how that happened.” Horror Fuel: “I noticed you in ‘American Satan’. That’s such an incredible movie. Tell us about your character, Juliette.” Jamie Bernadette: “It is a great movie.

Nick Antosca Talks ‘Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block’ Ahead of Finale

This Wednesday, we will witness the season finale of “Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block”, which has turned out to be the best season so far. Last week’s episode ended with Zoe (Holland Roden) eating her sister’s centipede after rescuing Izzy, before escaping into the park, leaving Alice behind. I asked the series’ creator Nick Antosca about what that meant. I don’t explain too didactically, but Zoe is struggling with we she is versus who she wants to be. She’s been given the opportunity to become someone else, which I think is attractive to all of us in some ways. Once she takes that leap, she realizes ‘Shit, maybe I shouldn’t have done this. Maybe it was better, all though scarier, to deal with the challenges I was facing throughout my life.’ That scene is a representation of Zoe realizing that she needs to go back and face the things that she’s been afraid of.” So far, each season has featured one
