With Truth or Dare’s premiere on Syfy only days away actress Cassandra Scerbo, who you will recognize as “Nova” from the Sharknado franchise, took the time to talk with me about her role as “Alex Colshis” in the slasher, premiering on October 9th at 8/7c. In the film, “eight college friends head to a “Haunted Rental” in a remote town for Halloween weekend. There, they play the game rumored to have caused the deaths of seven teenagers decades earlier, Truth or Dare. What starts out as vodka induced fun, quickly turns serious when the dares become sickeningly dangerous and the truths threaten to tear the group apart. When players attempt to refuse the increasingly challenging tasks, they’re met with deadly consequences, quickly discovering: you must do the dare, or the dare does you. As the death toll mounts, the remaining players must race against the clock to outrun, outsmart and outlast the simple game of Truth or Dare.” Cassandra stars

A couple of weeks ago I saw a movie titled The Vault (review). I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a film that claimed to be half horror and half heist film. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the story interesting and fresh, it has a fantastic cast that includes Scott Haze, James Franco, Francesca Eastwood, Taryn Manning, Q’orianka Kilcher, Clifton Collins Jr. and many other talented actors. In the film, in order to save their brother Michael’s life, the Dillon sisters, Leah (Francesca Eastwood) and Vee (Taryn Manning) have organized a bank robbery, but when the upstairs vault doesn’t have enough money to cover Michael’s debt, on the advice of Assistant Bank Manager Ed Maas (Franco), they drill into the downstairs vault. But the bank’s basement hides a terrible secret and before long, the Dillons have to choose whether to face the police outside or the terrible supernatural forces from the vault below.” I had the

Horror in the 80’s gave us so many fantastic soundtracks. One song still stands out above the rest, ‘Cry Little Sister’ from the beloved classic The Lost Boys. As the film approached its 30th anniversary we shared the news with you that the song’s creator G Tom Mac (also known as Gerard McMahon) was not only doing a special tour but that he is also gearing up to bring us “A Lost Boys Story” musical, inspired by the movie. ‘Cry Little Sister’ is just one of the many contributions G Tom Mac has made to the world. Besides being a fantastic musician, he has created over 150 themes and tracks for both films and series. If you’ve seen The Lost Boys, Trick ‘r Treat, Terminator III, or the series ‘Charmed’, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, or ‘The X-Files’ you have heard his music. But ‘Cry Little Sister’ remains a favorite. His music has been used by so many talented artists including

When Margot returns home, she realizes everything has changed. Ahead of the show’s September 20th premiere Nick Antosca (Hannibal, Teen Wolf), writer, showrunner and executive producer of ‘Channel Zero’, gave us insight into ‘No-End House’, which is based on Brian Russell’s “creepypasta” tale by the same name. According to Antosca, ‘No-End House’ “takes a familiar horror concept and then takes it in an unexpected direction.” He also said, “I think the people will be interested in the character’s journey.” When we asked “One of the characters in the trailer states that there are 6 rooms in the No-End House. But in the story, there are

Most people recognize the name Samhain as the spirit of Halloween, but there is an entertainer/public figure that goes by the same name. Meet Samhain. With a clown-like painted face, ghostly white eyes, nails that would impress Freddy Krueger, and safety pins jutting out from his bottom lip, Samhain makes appearances across the country at conventions, haunted houses, in movies and can be seen in music videos like the one below from “Stands With Fists”. Samhain, whose real name is unknown, has a monstrous following which he calls “The Cult of Samhain”. His followers and fans, referred to as his “little ones”, tune in religiously for his videos and live discussions where he discusses different topics on anything from bullying, to abuse and more. He takes the time to speak and respond to each “little one” that he can with a calm smooth voice and that eerie smile. He’s also known for his unapologetic bluntness. In each video, he reveals
