‘Johnny Gruesome’ Is Back From The Dead To Raise A Little Hell In The First Trailer For the Film

In May I sat down for an interview with Greg Lamberson about his upcoming film Johnny Gruesome. Now, the first trailer has just arrived for this undead revenge film and we have it here to share with you. Anthony De La Torre, who played the role of young Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, stars as Johnny. Byron Brown II, Aprilann, and Michael DeLorenzo co-star. When I asked Lamberson to describe the film this is what he had to say: Johnny Gruesome is the story of a murdered high school student, sort of a heavy metal rebel. The kids who kill him cover it up, like they often do, and he comes back from the grave as a wise-cracking zombie. It’s a very typical EC Comics type of revenge from the grave story. It was always planned as B movie and that’s exactly what it is.” From the Press Release: Red Hell Movies LLC,

Alan Moore’s Anthology Thriller ‘Show Pieces’ Premieres Exclusively On Shudder

From the brilliant mind of comic book legend Alan Moore, the man behind The Watchmen, The Killing Joke, From Hell, and V for Vendetta, comes the anthology thriller Show Pieces. Show Pieces marks the first of Moore’s projects written exclusively for film and is not an adaption like the other movies inspired by one of his comics. We will also see Moore make an appearance in the film (pictured below). Moore penned several of the songs on the soundtrack with music by Adam Drucker and Andrew Broder as Crook & Flail featuring a cast of vocalists including Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio), Alan Sparhawk (Low) and Nona Invie (Dark Dark Dark). Set in Northampton, UK the anthology mainly takes place in a gentleman’s club. “In Chapter One: Act Of Faith, Faith Harrington, a young newspaper reporter with an exotic private life, prepares for a stimulating evening at home that doesn’t go according to plan. The New ‘Cult Of Chucky’ Trailer Is All Kinds Of Awesome !

Chucky is back and ready to slice and dice the patients of a mental institution in Cult of Chucky. The sequel, which we first reported back in 2014, wrapped filming in February. The first full trailer is here and it looks killer. The movie picks up four years after the events of Curse of Chucky. Creator-writer-director Don Mancini has promised that Cult of Chucky will be the bloodiest and goriest film of the entire franchise. That says a lot taking inconsideration the scenes in Seed of Chucky, including Method Man’s guts being spilled at the dinner table. In the film, Nica, played by Fiona Dourif, has been confined to a asylum for the criminally insane and is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky (Brad Dourif), murdered her entire family. But when her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic “tool” to facilitate his patients’ group sessions — an all-too-familiar “Good Guy” doll with an innocently smiling face — a string of grisly

Ten Horror Films Actually In Need Of A Remake

The list of really good to near-perfect horror flicks that have been given the remake treatment in the last two decades is staggering, and doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘The Fog’, ‘Halloween’, ‘Fright Night’, and so many others have been remade, reworked, or rebooted for a modern audience, nearly always resulting in a film inferior to the original. This abhorrent trend must stop, I say! Here are ten far-from-perfect movies that, unlike the aforementioned examples, could actually use a solid remake. ‘Ghoulies’ (1985) – One subgenre of horror sorely missing these days is the “small creature” movie. With the ‘Gremlins’, ‘Critters’, ‘Munchies’, and ‘Ghoulies’ series of films, creepy little creatures were everywhere in the 1980s and early 1990s. While ‘Gremlins’ is a masterpiece, and ‘Critters’ is really good, aside from cool creature design and an excellent poster that terrified many an eighties kid in the video store, ‘Ghoulies’ is pretty terrible,
