Back in 2005 director and horror rocker Rob Zombie followed up his 2003 horror spectacle, House of 1000 Corpses, with a brutal and murderous 70’s style road film called The Devil’s Rejects . It’s a film that many have lauded as his best film-making effort thus far. Despite visual and stylistic differences between the films, Zombie created a core trio of characters (Captain Spaulding, Otis and Baby) that have become somewhat legendary within the horror genre. Well my Little Monsters, according to an “exclusive” report from Bloody Disgusting, Zombie is apparently looking to unleash the “Rejects” on genre fans again. Now I know what many of you are thinking, “didn’t they all die in a hail of police gunfire while Lynyrd Skynyrd’s song Free Bird played in the background?”…well, yes it’s pretty safe to assume they did. However, I’m sure in death they didn’t likely find themselves knocking at the pearly gates. And since they are called the “Devil’s Rejects”,

Now that Friday The 13th: The Game is actually playable, a new problem arises; it’s getting stale. With only one game mode, and counselors and Jason’s who all play pretty much the same, things get repetitive faster than you can swing a machete. But hey, now you can dress everyone up in cool new costumes! The best part by far is Lachappa’s man titties in the wrestler outfit. Yeah, we’re still waiting for a single player mode (or really, any new modes at all), but at least this is something. There’s plenty of DLC planned for the games future, and if the big ass pumpkin indicates Halloween, that means were only about halfway through. And sure, outfits aren’t the biggest addition, but better things are yet to come.

With Halloween being the scariest time of the year, there’s no better time to reflect on some of the scariest monsters in videogames. After all, what’s good horror without something tall and murderous to scare the pants off you? The Slender Man (Slender: The Eight Pages) An abnormally skinny figure fitted in a tailored black suit, The Slender Man looks almost human. That is until you see his face, a smooth white dome, completely lacking in features. And even though he has no eyes, victims say they could feel Slender Man staring right through them. Starting off as a series of photo shopped images on the popular website 4chan.org The Slender Man reached peak popularity with the release of the video game “Slender: The Eight Pages.” Tasking the player with exploring a dilapidated camp site in search of the titular documents, “Slender” is made more difficult, and more terrifying, by the presence of the ever more aggressive Slender Man. Back in season 5 of ‘The Walking Dead’, we watched as Rick (Andrew Lincoln) killed the cannibal Gareth (Andrew J. West) with a red-handled machete in a church after getting the drop on Gareth and a few of his men. Do you remember? It has been considered one of the most brutal kill scenes in the show. Let me refresh your memory. Now, AMC is unleashing a bonus digital series that follows the machete from its first kill through its life as a weapon against both the human and undead. During last night’s season 8 premiere we got to see the first episode of the five-part miniseries titled ‘Red Machete’ which will be released via AMC apps, AMC.com, and YoutTube. We watched on as a young man ripped the machete from the walls of a hardware store to fight against a walker during the first days of the zombie apocalypse as a girl watches on in horror. Filled with “action, fast cars, and synth wave music” Night Run is looking like a fitting tribute to the 80’s cheese that’s so sorely missing from today’s cinema. From the Indiegogo Page; “The year was 1985, Daniel McCormack was like any other man, dreaming of sports cars and a brighter future with his girlfriend, Jennifer. One night Daniel stops an assault on several civilians by the notorious Kano Gang who have been overpowering the city of Santa Mira. Unfortunately, Daniel’s bravery is short lived as he is murdered by Johnny, the gang’s leader. A year later, on a thunderous October night, Daniel rises from his grave seeking revenge on the men who took his life, his future and his dreams.” This is NIGHT RUN.
