Murder, suspicion, and a missing police officer fuel Sven Bohse‘s (“Ku’damm 56”) true-crime miniseries “Dark Woods“. Written by Stefan Kolditz, the story is set “in the summer of 1989, Barbara Neder, the sister of high-ranking Hamburg police officer Thomas Bethge, disappears from her home without a trace. Shortly before this, two couples had been cruelly murdered in nearby woodlands. Suspicion quickly falls on artist Hans Lingner, who is living on the edge of the forest and is a gun enthusiast. However, the links between the earlier murder cases, the “Killer Forest” and Barbara’s disappearance are not initially picked up by the investigators. Instead, the police begin to suspect Barbara’s husband Robert who was in the process of divorcing his wife. Their daughter Theresa has been hit hard by her mother’s disappearance and the suspicions surrounding her father, making her too, believe that her father may be her mother’s murderer.” Inspired by real-life events that took place in the late 1980s,

Like always, Ryan Murphy is turning to his “American Horror Story” alum to cast his new Netflix series, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” TVline reports. The series will focus on the perspective of Dahmer’s victims and will also look at the police incompetence and apathy that allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree, with Dahmer (aka the “Milwaukee Cannibal”) repeatedly being nearly apprehended but then let go by a justice system that saw him as harmless. Later he was arrested and sentenced but was killed in prison by a fellow inmate before justice could be served. Emmy winner Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under,

WARNING: The following may be disturbing St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and people no doubt already have or are planning on stocking up on an assortment of Irish beers, stouts, and of course whiskey. No name or brand of Irish liquor stands out more than Jameson Irish Whiskey, but many don’t know that one of the heirs to the brand was involved in a case so horrid that his premature death saved him and the brand from public disgrace. In the 1880s James S. Jameson tagged along with the Emin Pasha Relief Expedition that was sent to Ottoman-controlled southern Sudan to give supplies since the supply line to the region was cut off by revolts. Jameson (whose journal provides all accounts of his time in the expedition) was left, along with others, in command of the Rear Column and it was here it appeared he became bored. According to Jameson himself, and other witnesses, he expressed interest and

Over time there have been cases popping up all over the New England region of the U.S. where many families have been nearly wiped out by mysterious illnesses leading many within the communities to look towards the supernatural for answers as to how or why bad luck would befall an entire household.
