New Images Tease The Darkness Of King’s Series “Castle Rock”

A new batch of images (via EW) gives us a look into Hulu’s upcoming Stephen King series “Castle Rock”, which will take viewers inside King’s multiverse. “Castle Rock is this town that [King] made famous in all these different books; and these two writers, Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw, came up with this incredibly cool, terrifying, weird, funny idea of a series, new story, that takes place in this town,” producer J.J. Abrams recently told Jimmy Fallon. “And all of these characters from Stephen King’s books sort of are peripherally involved. We pitched it to Stephen King. He went nuts for it.” The series stars Bill Skarsgard as a prisoner at Shawshank State Prison, Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn who appeared in both Needful Things and The Dark Half, and Sissy Spacek (Carrie) as Ruth Deaver, the adoptive mother of the series’ lead character Henry (Andre Holland). “Castle Rock”, from Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. While Terror Films is still building their reputation as a major film distributor, company president Joe Dain believes that the release is very special and stated that “this was a calculated move on our part. There is a natural, connective tissue between gamers and horror, science fiction and fantasy film fans. We believe our films are interesting, entertaining and diverse enough to gain the attention of Steam’s massive user base. Movie Review: Sequence Break (2018)

Oz (Chase Williamson) toils his days away in a failing warehouse as a repairman for vintage arcade cabinets. After being told by his boss that the operation is closing, our hero heads to bar to drink away his blues…though this is short lived as he heads back to the warehouse to bury himself in work, upon doing which he discovers a new game that before you can say Polybius begins to infect him with hallucinatory images after he plays it. As days pass, Oz’s reality becomes a Cronenbergian wet dream of bio-mechanical, hyper-sexualized fever dreams…and visits from a bizarre, violence prone transient. Can Oz keep his humanity as he becomes one with the machine? Sequence Break is a great throwback to the works of Cronenberg mixed up with video game horror yarns such as the Beat the Bishop segment of 1983’s Nightmares…and it plays perfectly into thoughts all of us arcade addicts who were there in the golden days harbored…what

New ‘Sharp Objects’ Poster Doesn’t Feel Very Welcoming

The new poster for HBO‘s upcoming series “Sharp Objects” might leave you feeling tense, and not sure why. While it looks normal enough, it feels like something is lurking just below the surface. The poster may say “welcome home”, but it doesn’t look very welcoming to me. Starring Amy Adams (Arrival), Patricia Clarkson (The Green Mile), April Brinson (The Veil), Violet Brinson (The Veil), and Matt Craven (X-Men: First Class), the series is from director Jean-Marc Vallée and written by Marti Noxon. “Based on the book by The New York Times bestselling author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Dark Places), this eight-episode series tells the story of reporter Camille Preaker (Adams) who returns to her small hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.” “Sharp Objects” is set to premiere July 8, 2018.

‘The Terror’ May Be Back For Season 2

Fans of the show “The Terror” may be curious as to how the story will continue after the beautifully heartrending end to the fictionalized account of the lost Franklin Expedition. Well as it turns out according to an interview with TV Guide, Soo Hugh states that “The Terror” series was greenlit by AMC as an “anthology” show, meaning that every season will focus on one particular story just like “American Horror Story“, “True Detective“ etc. The show’s name was taken from the name of the novel that it’s based on which in turn was named after one of the ships, the HMS Terror. So now it may seem that the title of the series all along means that this will be a horror anthology series. I know, I know, “Tells us what the next season will be about Dan!” well that’s up in the air at the moment. All we know is that it will be a new story altogether.
