Writer-director Tommy Stovall‘s (Hate Crime, Aaron’s Blood, Sedona) new film Room For Rent, starring horror icon Lin Shaye, will soon be released. Ahead of its arrival, I sat down with Stovall to discuss the horror thriller, his previous work, and what he’s doing now. Room for Rent centers on a lonely widow Joyce (Shaye) who rents out a room to make ends meet. She meets mysterious drifter Bob and takes him in as a tenant, but soon becomes obsessed with her much younger guest, making him the object of her deepest romantic fantasies. When a friend’s betrayal derails Joyce’s fantasy world, she seizes control of her own destiny with a deadly mission. Anyone who really knows me is aware that I love special effects, so of course, I was really excited when I found out that SFX master Joe Castro had agreed to speak with me. Joe is the man behind the effects in horror and sci-fi films like Blood Feast II, Bonehill Road, The Dawnseeker, and The Haunting of La Llorona. But he’s not only any a special effects master, he’s also the director that brought us the Terror Toons franchise, Xenophobia, and many more. While DC and Marvel are busy turning out adaptations of epic comic book series, there’s another comic adaptation headed our way based on the Rottentail comic created by David C. Hayes, Kevin Moyers, Kurt Belcher, and Henrik Horvath. Corin Nemec, who has been in a long list of fantastic films like Bundy: A Legacy of Evil and Chicago Massacre: Richard Speck and hit series such as “Ghost Whisperer” and “Supernatural”, stars as scientist Peter Cotten mutated into a half man/bunny creature in Rottentail. Directed by Brian Skiba, this horror-comedy tells the bizarre tale of young Peter Cotton, who grew up in the town of Easter Falls and loves rabbits. Peter’s Science project on rabbit breeding is ruined when the school bullies beat up and actually kill his rabbit. Years later, the kind but still shy Dr. Cotton works steadily and gently with his rabbits to cure human infertility. Unbeknownst to Peter, the military is perverting his work, developing fierce soldiers

Travel Channel’s new paranormal series “Ghost Bait” has just premiered and sets out to help those plagued by paranormal activity by guiding victims to face their problems in a unique way. I had the opportunity to speak with paranormal pioneer Bob Magill and investigator Tina Storer about the series and their process of helping victims as well as what made them want to be paranormal investigators. Horror Fuel: “How did “Ghost Bait” come to be?” Bob Magill: “Ghost Bait started as a web series back in 2011. I have a background in therapy and a production company and I love anything that has to do with the paranormal. I recently sat down for an interview with writer-director-Scream Queen Deborah Voorhees, who starred in Friday the 13th: New Beginning, to talk about her upcoming horror film 13 Fanboy, a film about a killer stalking actresses from the Friday the 13th franchise. I learned during our conversation that the film was inspired by true events which makes the movie more frightening in my book. The cast features some of the biggest names from the franchise, including 3 actors who have played Jason Voorhees. Kane Hodder (Jason: Friday the 13th VII and VIII, Jason Goes to Hell), C.J.
