Horror fans are possibly one of the most passionate when it comes to anything related to the genre. This love for the films even goes as far to have theories about the stories of the films we love, of course, every film genre has its fan theory base, but when it comes to horror, you got to admit there are some interesting ones out there. Even some bordering absurdity! These fan theories are all over the internet and appear in many videos and web articles but I want to take it a step further by giving the theories a look and then offering my opinion, hell I would love to even hear YOUR opinion in the comments (keep it civil, we’re here for fun!). Just months after genre fans mourned the death of The Devil’s Rejects’ star Sid Haig, now one of his ast roles will finally be seen in limited theaters and on VHS. Charles Fleischer, PJ Soles, Caroline Williams, Robert Felsted Jr., Joe Knetter and the late Dick Miller also star. In the film, “A group of Jewish young adults are getting ready for the holidays, but are in for a Festival of Frights. With the help of a wise Rabbi, they deduce that they are being targeted because they have violated Judaic law and that their only chance of survival is to embrace their faith.” Hanukkah arrives in select theaters on December 13th, followed by a VHS release on December 20th and aitsVOD and Blu-ray release on February 11, 2020.

This December, After She Wakes will leave you afraid to fall asleep. Written and directed by David A. Clark, this indie film stars Hannah Ward, Stella Carlish, Micah Parker, Conrad Goode, and Nicola Lambo. After the tragic death of her baby son, a narcoleptic mother with a young daughter suffers from terrifying sleep disruptions as they try to deal with ongoing pain and grief. They begin experiencing different episodes of parasomnia including night terrors and sleep paralysis, leaving them unable to move and only able to witness horrific visions. These nightmares become too disturbing as they create a rift in their own realities causing the mother to believe someone or something is watching her sleep every night. Soon the terrifying visions from their dreams begin to manifest into a sinister reality, leaving the mother vulnerable, trying everything she can to protect her family from the unwanted intruder. The star-ship Pandora is hauling ass back to earth with an alien energy orb called Thanatos in tow. As fate would have it, their journey is interrupted by a distress signal from a craft that has been ransacked by space pirates (who enter the Pandora posing as the miniskirt and platform boots clad survivors themselves). The ruse doesn’t last long, and when push comes to shove Thanatos’ orb is cracked, and people start turning into zombie-like mutants. Before long the survivors are up to their asses in monsters and mayhem as they try and escape the interstellar hell in which they’ve found themselves! Plaguers is one hell of an independent gem, let me tell ya! Why does this flick succeed, well the reasons are numerous. For one, the cast is strong, with genre stalwart Steve Railsback (Lifeforce) turning in a solid (if derivative by necessity… more on that in a bit) performance, and Alexis Zibolis is strong as well as

In the mid-eighties Charles Band’s legendary Empire Pictures released a lil’ ditty on us horror hounds called Necropolis. The fright flick layed down the tale of a 17th century Satanic witch named Eva (LeeAnne Baker) who had a life line a mile-fuckin’-long as she is reborn as a “modern day” cycle-slut punk rock wonder who drained victims of their life force and quested for a Thing ring that would let her do her thing! Flash forward to today, and Band’s Full Moon Pictures is releasing a re-imagining of the flick courtesy of co-writer (along with Brockton McKinney)/director Chris Alexander. Anyway, it’s the late ’80s, and Adrienne (legendary scream queen Tiffany Shepis) has just been set-free from the loony bin; where she found herself after seeing her friends murdered by Satanic sicko Alex Black… whom she ultimately defeated with the help of Deputy Mathews (Phantasm‘s A. German indie game developer Mooneye Studios allowed me the honor to take a crack at Lost Ember, their debut game. This third-person adventure game takes you the adventure of a wolf with the ability to shape-shift into other animals as you explore lands once occupied by a civilization of people called the Yanrana. As mentioned, you play as a wolf. But there’s more to that, the wolf in a past life was a member of the Yanrana people whose soul is not permitted to pass to the afterlife. Fate brings the wolf together with the lost soul of a long-dead Yanrana who needs help passing to the next life; these are known as “Lost Embers”. The soul accompanies the wolf as the animal retraces its past life to uncover a way to help it pass on as well but along the way the wolf is granted a mysterious power that allows it to possess any creature it finds meaning that
