Twenty years after the events of the first Iron Sky film (the 2012 flick that detailed Hitler’s exile to the dark side of the moon at the end of World War II where he plans his decades-in-the-making revenge…which ultimately was unsuccessful, but did lead to a freakin’ nuclear war, so there’s that) we pick up with the adventures of survivors of that aforementioned cataclysm taking up residence in the now abandoned Nazi moon base. All is not well however, as the colony is a mess, and the base is crumbling to shit. Things look up however when more folks from Earth arrive, and lend hope in the telling of tales concerning a secret city hidden deep within the bowels of the Earth. Obi Washington (Lara Rossi), the daughter of the colony’s leader Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), assembles a misfit team and heads down to the ol’ Big Blue Marble to see how viable this place is to set up shop.

This August, Midnight Releasing will unleash Wicked Witches (formerly known as The Witches of Dumpling Farm), the new horror film The Pickering Brothers. In the film, after being thrown out of his home by his wife for being promiscuous, Mark finds himself back at Dumpling Farm, a place filled with youthful memories, but things aren’t quite right. His old friend Ian, who has never left the place, is possessed by a group demonic, flesh-eating Witches. Using Ian and his farm, these beautiful Witches trap Mark and his friends to consume their souls. Duncan Casey, Justin Marosa, Kitt Proudfoot, Samantha Schnitzler, and Jasmin Clark star in Wicked Witches, set for release in theaters, digital and DVD August 9, 2019.

“Walking Dead” star Pollyanna McIntosh makes her directorial debut with Darlin’, the sequel to Lucky McKee’s 2011 horror The Woman, which McIntosh also starred in. Before we delve into my review of Darlin’ let me give you a quick rundown of The Woman. In the film, a successful misogynistic country lawyer captures a feral woman in an attempt to “civilize” the member of a violent, cannibalistic clan roaming the coast by breaking her will. But somethings just can’t be broken. Darlin’ picks up years later after the woman has raised the child she took. Darlin’, now a young woman wanders into a hospital. Unable to speak and wild, she meets a nurse (Cooper Andrews) who is able to somewhat communicate through kindness. She is seen as a curiosity and sent to a girls home run by the church where she becomes the project of a nun and Bishop who hope to use her as a way to save the facility

Ol’ Robert (Thomas Downey) is having a bit of a tough go; he’s a struggling children’s book author who’s mother has bought the farm. Naturally he moves right on into Mommy Dearest’s home along with his ass-pain of a daughter, Sammy (Trinity Simpson). He’s also drunk off his ass a lot of the time, and his wife has left him. This is our hero folks… Anyway, Boob (that is a type-o I simply refuse to fix because this dude is a chump through and through) and Sam soon discover a trio of diabolical dolls that keep moving location around the house seemingly of their own accord. Here it comes boils n’ ghouls; another arcane anthology that will assault our putrid peepers with a multitude of fun-sized fright flicks! Let’s see how Hi-Death stacks up, and if it’ll contain more hits than misses… The obligatory wrap-around segment comes in the form of Terror Tour (written and directed by Brad Sykes) which features two comely lasses taking a horror based tour of L.A. while watching a series of tremble inducing tales along the way. In my opinion these are always the most superfluous of segments in these things, and this gets the job done okay. First up comes Anthony Catanese’s Death Has a Conscience; which tells the story of hardcore music fan and addict (of the fictional drug Spit) Erin (Jensen Jacobs) who decides to come down in a rank-ass motel room. Sounds prosaic enough, except the ol’ Grim Reaper makes the scene to have a heart to heart with our heroine! I enjoyed this one quite a

One of those mysterious, zombie-causing viruses the kids are so into these days has ripped (chewed?) the bucolic community of Grey County a new asshole. Enter: Ben Neilson (Adam Seybold), a (pretty much) blind dude who comes to in an ambulance without fuck-all of a clue that the world has devolved into an undead orgy. Of course the tension mounts as Blind Ben goes a-stumblin’ from one bitey mess to another, before crossing paths with Mara Madigan (Liv Collins…who also co-wrote the flick), a preg-o po-po. Together the duo make a go of surviving not only those pesky gut-munchers, but also the (understandably) trigger happy townsfolk. Look; I’ll be the first to admit that the zombie apocalypse genre has gotten more play than the town whore in a one whore town…but dammit; Deadsight is pretty fuckin’ killer! Director Jesse Thomas Cook along with Writers Collins and Kevin Revie have created a monsterpiece of deliberately paced mounting tension. Speaking of that
