Movie Review: Into the Dark: I’m Just F*cking With You (2019)

Larry (Keir O’Donnell); a neurotic, extremely germophobic man, on the road to a wedding he has no desire to attend, books a room at the seedy Pink Motel and Lounge where the establishments bartender cum receptionist Chester (Hayes MacArthur) continuously engages him in bouts of April Fools ballbustery. Anyway, Larry eventually checks in and heads to his room to have a wank at photos of the bride to be (which someone films from the ventilation duct above). Things escalate….especially after Larry’s sister, Rachel (Jessica McNamee), arrives…and Chester’s nonsense grows ever more bizarre and dangerous, but at the same time he seems like a likable enough dude; just a bit much to take…but looks can be deceiving and before long our protagonist’s must decide what is real and what

‘The Dead Don’t Die’ Coming To Theaters This Summer With A Star Studded Cast

Jim Jarmusch‘s The Dead Don’t Die is being described as having “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled” and man, are they right! Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Iggy Pop, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Selena Gomez, Tom Waits, RZA, Sara Driver, Rosie Perez, and Carol Kane are just some of the cast. Unlike Zombieland, Murray will not be among the undead. This time, Murray will be playing a police officer along with Driver and Sevigny. Sevigny had this to say about the film recently: His vampire picture was more dramatic and romantic. The Dead Don’t Die is more in the vain of a comedy. It’s Adam Driver and Bill Murray and myself, and a whole cast of characters. He refuses to say that it’s social commentary, but zombie pictures often are, and it’s pretty easy to ascertain what he would be speaking on. There’s an environmental catastrophe that sets this thing off.” Jarmusch is the

Movie Review: Blood Craft (2019)

Ol’ Grace (Madeleine Wade), your friendly neighborhood sex worker, heads back to her hometown after the passing of her pappy, Minister Hall (Dave Sheridan). Now you may think Hall was a peaceful, man o’ God sort, but he was anything but…in fact the dude was a full-on sadistic son of a bitch. Once there, Grace reunites with her equally damaged sister, Serena (Augie Duke)…and the duo start reminiscing about what a shit-heel Hall was. So, what do these sibs do to heal the wounds of the past? Why resurrect their abusive paternal unit via their legacy of witchcraft then torture his ass but good…as one does! I’m gonna level with you up front boils n’ ghouls; Blood Craft kinda hit me harder than I though it would. I was definitely expecting some straight up horror biz/E.C. Comics style action from this pic…and I definitely got that for sure…but there’s an undercurrent of incest and abuse that can definitely play on

The unsettling, supernatural-thriller Soul to Keep, from co-directors David Allensworth and Monière, took home the award for Best Female Actress for rising Sandra Mae Frank‘s performance as well as a nomination for Best Picture at HorrorHound. Now, it’s headed towards its April release. In the film, Beelzebub, an ancient demon hell-bent on consuming and possessing souls, preys on Millennials at a rundown country house. Something Terrifying Is Growing In The New ‘Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark’ Poster

What’s more terrifying than a monster to a teenager? A giant red spot, a blemish that may be more than it appears, that’s what’s revealed on the new poster for Acadamy Award-winner Guillermo del Toro‘s adaptation of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home. Written by Guillermo del Toro, Dan Hageman, and Kevin Hageman, the film stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris,

‘Pet Sematary’ Getting A Prequel ?!

The theatrical premiere of Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer‘s highly-anticipated reimagining of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is still a month away. While some witnessed its world premiere at SXSW the rest of us are eagerly awaiting our shot to see the film that is already getting rave reviews. Today, we got word that there may already be another installment in the works, this time it’s a prequel, at least that’s what producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is saying. I generally don’t start thinking about [sequels] until they’re a success. I think if there’s anything here, there’s a prequel. I think if you look at the book, we didn’t cover all that stuff that happens before the Creed family moves in. So, I think there’s a movie there, and I think I’d be particularly interested in doing that, because again, it’s the source material and you are going toward something that also has a lot of crazy, creepy feelings about it.” Bonaventura
