“Black Mirror” and “Leverage” actor Aldis Hodge has been cast in a lead role in Universal and Blumhouse’s The Invisible Man, however, he will not be playing the invisible man.

Hodge joins previously announced cast members Elizabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Storm Reid.

Inspired by Universal’s classic monster who made its first appearance in 1933, the film is from writer-director Leigh Whannell, who is behind the Insidious Franchise, Saw, and Upgrade.

Reportedly, the film centers on Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead.

Production begins next month in Sydney, Australia. The Invisible Man will arrive in theaters on March 13, 2020.
