First Images Surface From Survival Thriller ‘The Dive’

RLJE Films has acquired the survival thriller The Dive, which will see two sisters fight to survive an underwater disaster. Today, we have the first two images from the film. Directed and co-written by Max Erlenwein (Stereo), the film is co-written by Joachim Hedén (Breaking Surface) and stars Louisa Krause (Dark Waters, “Billions”) and Sophie Lowe (Medieval). Blumhouse Adapting True Haunting Story Of The Moffitt Family For New Series And Film

Blumhouse has acquired the highly sought-after rights to the life story of mother and daughter, Deborah and Jessica Moffitt, who were terrorized alongside other members of the Moffitt family (who were living under the same roof) for more than six years by a supernatural presence they called “Mr. Entity.” The company also acquired the rights to Jessica’s forthcoming book manuscript, “Mr. Entity: The Moffitt Family Haunting,” written from the perspective and first-hand accounts of Deborah, as well as the family’s archive. The manuscript delves deeper into the hauntings and the family’s background going back to Jessica’s great-grandfather’s ties to the Mafia and the nefarious intentions of Jessica’s grandfather against her grandmother, Lee Moffitt. Eiza González And Aaron Paul Join Flying Lotus’ Sci-fi Thriller ‘Ash’

Musician-turned-director Flying Lotus (Kuso) is back with the sci-fi thriller Ash. Deadline is reporting that the cast will be led by Eiza González (Baby Driver) and “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul. The two join previously announced stars Tessa Thompson (Creed) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception). Ash reportedly centers on ”a woman (Eiza González) who wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed and must then decide if she can trust the man (Aaron Paul) sent to rescue her. Universal Is Digging Up ‘The Mole People’ For New Remake

Universal Pictures is digging up and remaking the classic 1956 black and white horror film The Mole People, Deadline is reporting. Chris Winterbauer (Wyrm) is writing the script for the remake based on his pitch to Universal, with the film being produced by “The Walking Dead’s” Robert Kirkman and Dave Alpert under the Skybound banner. In the original, directed by Virgil W. Vogel, archaeologists discover a five-millennia-old Samarian civilization living beneath a glacier atop a mountain. In the remake, “a woman travels to a town veiled in a conspiracy to rescue her grandchildren from their father.
