As she sinks deeper into her latest assignment Vos becomes trapped inside a ming that threatens to obliterate her.” Riseborough stars alongside Jennifer Jason Lee, Sean Bean, Tuppence Middleton, Christopher Abbott, Kaniehtion Horn, Rossif Sutherland, Christopher Jacot, and Gabrielle Graham. Hershel (John Littlefield) offers a gaggle of teens a fabulous cash prize if they make it through his lil’ ol’ corn maze in two hours time. Seems like easy money… except Hershel is a psycho killer qu’est-ce que c’est, and so are his hulking brutish sons and freak-ass daughter (Aimee Stolte), and as you lot well and truly know; the family that slays together stays together… and those teens are number one on their “must kill” list! Thankfully for this fright flick, those teens; Brandon (Houston Stevenson), Wendy (Emily Sweet), Rustin (Chris Leary), and Melanie (Tiana Tuttle) by name, are a damn personable crowd, so we actually give a fuck or two whether they make it through the ordeal with all of their various pieces intact. Also of note is the excellent mounting tension this flick provides. Things move at a brisk pace, and the stalk n’ slay games keep you on the edge of your seat, and that sprawling

Headed to theaters this September is the survival horror Shortcut from director Alessio Liguori. Ahead of its debut, I snagged a copy to review. Here are my thoughts. Written by Daniele Cosci, Shortcut follows a group of five teens and their bus driver as they travel down an empty road. When they come to a spot blocked by a downed tree they must take a shortcut, only to find that road blocked as well by a dead deer. When the bus driver (Terence Anderson) gets out to drag it off the road so that they continue their journey, he is ambushed by a psycho and held at gunpoint, and forced to keep driving. You would think that things were bad enough, but you’d be wrong. There’s something out there, something hungry, that is ready to pounce when the bus breaks down in a tunnel. Let me start off by saying that I was very impressed by the young cast that
