The unsettling, supernatural-thriller Soul to Keep, from co-directors David Allensworth and Monière, took home the award for Best Female Actress for rising Sandra Mae Frank‘s performance as well as a nomination for Best Picture at HorrorHound. ‘Pet Sematary’ Getting A Prequel ?!

The theatrical premiere of Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer‘s highly-anticipated reimagining of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary is still a month away. While some witnessed its world premiere at SXSW the rest of us are eagerly awaiting our shot to see the film that is already getting rave reviews. Today, we got word that there may already be another installment in the works, this time it’s a prequel, at least that’s what producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is saying. I generally don’t start thinking about [sequels] until they’re a success. I think if there’s anything here, there’s a prequel. I think if you look at the book, we didn’t cover all that stuff that happens before the Creed family moves in. So, I think there’s a movie there, and I think I’d be particularly interested in doing that, because again, it’s the source material and you are going toward something that also has a lot of crazy, creepy feelings about it.” Bonaventura

Soon Shane will begin to see and hear things that aren’t there…or are they? He’ll discover that he’s alone at the station…or is he? Cosmic horrors the likes of which Lovecraft wrote about will make its presence
