Deep Blue Sea Director Dives Back Into The Shark-Infested Sea With ‘Deep Water’

It’s been twenty years since Deep Blue Sea premiered. Director Renny Harlin (Exorcist: The Beginning) is diving back into the shark-infested sea with Deep Water. Deep Water tells the story of a group of passengers whose plane, en route from Los Angeles to Shanghai, is forced to make an emergency landing in shark-infested waters. The terrified group is forced to work together to escape their sinking plane and the wreckage that has attracted sharks and sent them into a feeding frenzy. Deep Water marks the first film from the new production company Simmons/Hamilton Productions from Gene Simmons (KISS) and Gary Hamilton. The new banner is aiming to produce twenty-five action, thriller, and horror movies over the next five years, Variety reports. Disney takes us back to the Haunted Mansion in the first trailer for the upcoming live-action movie. The cast features many of Hollywood’s elite, including Tiffany Haddish (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Lakeith Stanfield (Knives Out), Owen Wilson (“Loki”), Rosario Dawson (Clerks III), and Danny DeVito (Always Sunny in Philidelphia”). Here’s Everything We Know So Far About ‘Saw X’

Jigsaw is back in Saw X, the next installment of one of horror’s most successful franchises, with new traps and new victims. As for the upcoming film’s plot, it’s still being kept under wraps, but Lionsgate has stated the following about Saw X, which is rumored to take place between the first film and the second. “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.” Franchise star Tobin Bell is returning for the movie as John Kramer/Jigsaw, who died in Saw III and has since appeared in the franchise in flashbacks. A sexagenarian chauvinist thinks he has met his match with Claudia, who — or in this case, which — happens to be a mannequin. On Saturday, May 27th at 3:45 p.m., the feature film Claudia — directed by Edward Westrop — will have its world premiere at The Romford Film Festival. Following is the official press release. Claudia is a black comedy about a misogynistic, sixty-something year old man named Raymond who forms an emotional relationship with a life-sized, female mannequin. This film aims to put a darkly comedic twist on the topic of domestic abuse when Raymond realises that the mannequin, who he names Claudia, is the perfect vessel for his misogynistic, backwards relationship values. Director of Claudia Edward Westrop is a self-taught filmmaker whose western-themed, stop-frame animation Cloaked Rider was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015.
