Legendary Horror Manga ‘Uzumaki’ Gets Anime Adaptation

If you ask anyone who reads manga which artist makes good horror mangas, you’ll most likely be pointed in the direction of Junji Ito whose stories and the images that accompany them are legendary and frightening. Uzumaki is Japanese for “spiral”, in the manga the story revolves around (no pun intended) fictional town where the citizens are tormented by a curse where spirals are appearing in everyday objects and driving people insane to the point that either they turn into snails OR die with their bodies twisted in a spiral. In 2000 a live-action film adaptation was released as

Kate Siegel Joins “Hill House” Alum For “The Haunting Of Bly Manor”

We’ve been eagerly awaiting news for “The Haunting of Bly Manor“. Victoria Pedretti, who played Nell in season one, will return for the second season as the lead character, Dani. But she won’t be returning alone. Pedretti will be joined by “Hill House” alums Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, and Elizabeth Reaser. Today, Mike Flanagan announced that Kate Siegel has signed on to return as well. The family is almost complete. The second season of Netflix’s hit anthology series was inspired by Henry James’ novella The Turn of the Screw which Mike Flanagan intends to put a new spin on. He also promises that this season is going to be even “scarier” than the first.
