Game Review: ‘Aliens: Dark Descent’

Tindalos Interactive and Focus Entertainment, in collaboration with 20th Century Games, have come together to bring the next heart-pounding installment into the Alien game franchise with Aliens: Dark Descent where players take control of a squad of space marines as they face off against Xenomorphs and other enemies as they fight for survival. Is this another bug hunt OR something else… Let’s take a look! Aliens: Dark Descent follows the Marines of the Otago that has become stranded on the planet of Lethe. This time the game is served up with a twist for fans that include an all-new narrative following the story of The Writer, being tortured by her craft. I want to thank Bloober Team for allowing me the opportunity to check out the game, how does this latest installment fair compared to the others? Let’s check it out! Lego Conjures “Ideas Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage” Kit

It doesn’t matter if you are a kid or a grown-ass adult. Legos are and always will be awesome. Over the past few years, the building block company has been releasing some killer complex adult kits. Following the news that Hocus Pocus 3 is brewing, Legos has announced their upcoming kit based on the iconic cottage home of the Sanderson Sisters, which features over 2,000 pieces. The Lego Ideas Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage is designed with older audiences in mind. The kit includes the sisters, Max, Danni, Allison, and Thackery Binx the cat, as well as easter eggs from the original film. Focus & Saber Reveal ‘John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando’

Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have again teamed up to again bring players face-to-face with hoards of enemies with John Carenter’s Toxic Commando, an FPS with the vibe from the 80s with a mix of humor and horror! In John Carenter’s Toxic Commando, the world is plunged into terror after attempts to dig to the Earth’s core unleashes the Sludge God who begins to terraform the planet and turn the living into the mutated undead. The ones responsible for causing this catastrophe, hired the cheapest mercenaries they could find since the good ones are too expensive, the Toxic Comandos. Players can take on the role of one of four Toxic Commandos and team up with friends to rid the world of this otherworldly terror using guns, grenades, special abilities, and melee weapons. Game Review: ‘Amnesia: The Bunker’

Fictional Games made their mark on the gaming world with Amnesia: The Dark Descent which became a massive hit thanks in part due to the neverending trove of youtube videos featuring obnoxious overreactions. When the game finally came to console I will admit I was disappointed in how the hype that was built up to it fell flat on its face as I felt the game was more tense than scary with only one good jumpscare in it. I’ll admit I never got around to playing the sequels (A Machine for Pigs, and Rebirth) so I can’t 100% say how they faired against the first game, but Amnesia: The Bunker, definitely outranks the first! I have to give a big thanks to Fictional Games for the reviewing opportunity! Amnesia: The Bunker follows Henri, a French soldier fighting in the First World War. Review: Central Perk Is Serving Up Tasty Coffee

As a coffee addict, I was excited to receive a box of the three newest flavors of coffee from Central Perk, which is a “Friends” themed coffee company. So, are they any good? The first bag, titled “Oh.My.Gawd!”, is a medium roast that, according to the package, has hints of butterscotch and Coca. After sampling it, I can tell you that you can taste a hint of butterscotch, but it is subtle, not too sweet. It has a great taste. It’s smooth and slightly rich. The next coffee I tried is called “Moo Point,” which is a decaf, medium roast. I could taste the hints of Honey and Coca. While I prefer my coffee to have caffeine, I will say that it is good. If you are just looking for the taste of coffee, this is the one is for you. The final flavor, “Gunther! Espresso,” is my favorite out of the bunch. I like my coffee like I like
