Today Saber Interactive and Stormind Games released the first story trailer for the upcoming single-player survival game A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, an original story that takes place in the A Quiet Place film universe. Along with the trailer comes more information about the story itself. Players will be stepping in the shoes of Alex, a young college student suffering from asthma (not good to have in a dusty end-of-the-world scenario!) who is trying to survive alongside her boyfriend Martin as the world comes to a silent halt from an otherworldly invasion by creatures who hunt by sound (seriously if you have not seen both A Quiet Place films, you’re doing yourself a disservice!). Alex must go through the ruins of civilization using her wits and ingenuity to observe the environments, and leveraging whatever tools are at her disposal to sneak, hide, and distract the creatures. In 2015, the acclaimed sci-fi horror film Circle captured the attention of viewers and critics alike for its powerful commentary on society. The film stars Michael Nardelli as Eric. He also served as a producer. In Circle, significant effects and backdrops are bypassed to concentrate on the story. The film sees fifty strangers taken and forced to choose the one person who deserves to live.” I sat with Michael to discuss Circle’s exploration of society and survival. But that’s not all. We have exciting news! A sequel, titled Circles, is on its way next year. Circle and Circles are not the only projects we had the opportunity to discuss. In the very near future, everyone is absolutely balls deep into Arena Wars; the game show where convicts can earn their freedom if they survive the onslaught of a ghoulish gaggle of murderous madmen (and women)… well at least they used to be into it, but the contest has been one sided… what with those sinister stalkers being armed to the nines and all… for so long that things are getting a bit long in the tooth. Growing up, I’ve sometimes wondered what it would be like to have a Xenomorph as a pet. Don’t look at me like that. The only issue is how to house a 7+ft tall creature out of Giger’s nightmares, the answer can be found at Agora Models. Specializing in intricate models you won’t find in any hobby store, especially due to the size of these models, the Alien model is nothing to sneeze at, this bug is 4 feet tall (when finished) and will have lights in the head-dome, a head that swivels after sensing movement, and a motorized retractable second jaw! There’s a lot of assembly required to put this Xeno together with over 600 parts. No worries if you’re missing parts, I had that happen, Agora’s customer service helped get the missing parts sent over to me after I realized I was missing some. At the time of writing this, I’ll have to be honest, I’m only halfway done

Nightdive Studios, the masters of remastering cult classic games for modern players (and returning fans), have announced today at the first IGN Live that they’re making a remastered version of the 2002 squad-based game The Thing, based on the cult classic film by the same name. The Thing takes place after the events of the film where players take on the role of Captain J.F. Blake, the leader of a United States Army Special Forces rescue team sent to investigate the blood-curdling events that transpired in the film.
