You’re seeing it all over the news, may it be on TV, your phone, newspapers, websites, you name it; everyone is talking about Coronavirus. The disease was formally known as the “Wuhan Virus” as the outbreak originated in the capital city of Wuhan in the province of Hubei in China. The name was changed to Coronavirus since that’s the actual name of the family the virus is part of. Either way, the increasing number of cases and the rising death toll being shown in media is causing mass panic overseas and potentially here at home soon enough. The biggest problem right now is the media acting like this is something new, as never before seen virus hell-bent on killing all humans and bringing forth a modern medieval age. The fact is this…We’ve seen this virus before but at the time we saw it in 2003 it was being called by its true name, SARS, or SARS-CoV. The name means Severe

During the outbreak of the bubonic plague in England, it was common to see mass graves in and around cities due to dense population, but the recent discovery uncovered in a rural part of the country might change the picture of how the plague affected communities. In Lincolnshire, a mass grave of 48 people (21 of them children) was discovered. The site of the grave is located at Thornton Abby where a hospital was attached to the Abby at the time of the plague. The bodies were buried days apart from each other and were carefully placed in the graves after the bodies were wrapped. The ages of the victims range from a year old to 45 years, researchers also believe that it’s possible that plague victims younger than 12 months were buried at the site as well but being so young there are rarely any skeletal remains. Netflix’s latest exploration into the mind of serials killers will delve into the crimes of Henry Lee Lucas in the documentary “The Confession Killer“. The killer, who claims to have killed hundreds of victims in the 1980s was the inspiration for the 1986 film, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, starring Michael Rooker. Netflix and filmmakers Robert Kenner and Taki Oldham explore Lucas’ crimes and confessions of slaying multiple victims. Chad and Carey Hayes, the writers behind The Conjuring franchise, are teaming up again to bring new chills with a brand new franchise connected to the infamous LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans, according to Deadline. The LaLaurie Mansion is considered one of the world’s most haunted places, with a sinister and infamous reputation thanks to its former owner Madame Delphine LaLaurie. The truth of LaLaurie, known for her lavish parties, was discovered when a fire broke out in the mansion in 1834. When neighbors and firemen came in to put out the blaze, they discovered the slave who started the fire chained to the stove and multiple slaves in the attic that had been mutilated and tortured in grotesque ways. Ahead of the release of his film Gretel & Hansel, news has come via Deadline that Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House) has already signed on for his next film, the possession horror Incident at Fort Bragg, from Lionsgate. . Perkins will both write and direct the film inspired by the true story of the “renowned writer and Irish Catholic priest Malachi Martin, who was brought in by the U.S. government to perform a sanctioned exorcism on a young soldier at the famed Army base.” The latest version of the script is from 2019’s Pet Sematary writer Jeff Buhler edit from a previous draft by Evan Turner and Harrison Query, who sold the idea to Lionsgate.
