Mike Flanagan’s Edgar Allen Poe Series “Fall Of The House Of Usher” Premiers This Fall

If there’s one thing you can count on when it comes to director Mike Flanagan, it’s quality, just look at his spooky-as-shit Netflix series “Haunting of Hill House” or one of his films. Well, he’s back (not that he ever left) with his new series, based on the tales of Edgar Allen Poe, titled “The Fall of the House of Usher.” The limited series from Intrepid Pictures features eight episodes, four that were directed by Flanagan and four by Michael Fimognari, who worked with Flanagan as cinematographer for “Haunting of Hill House” and directed several episodes of Flanagan’s new series “The Midnight Club.” “It’s crazy. It is unlike anything I’ve ever done, but in the other direction. My favorite way to describe it to people is like ‘Hill House’ is kind of a string quartet, and ‘Bly Manor’ is this delicate, kind of beautiful piece of classical piano music, and ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ is heavy metal.

Movie Review: Mike Flanagan’s Film Adaptation Of Stephen King’s “Gerald’s Game”

Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game is now out on Netflix and I have some thoughts. In the film, Jessie and Gerald Burlingame are going to their secluded lake house on a weekend trip. Their marriage is strained, and their love life has turned stagnant, but Gerald has something in mind to reignite that old flame, as it were. They arrive at their home, and everything is ready: landscaping done, house cleaned and prepared, pantry and fridge are stocked. Now it’s time for a little “afternoon delight,” so Jessie puts on a new sexy slip that she bought especially for the occasion and waits for Gerald in the bedroom. He pops a little blue pill and cuffs her to the bed, and then the “game” begins. However, Jessie is not fond of the rough turn Gerald’s game takes and rebuffs his attempt to fulfill what is little more than a rape fantasy. She begs him to uncuff her,

Black Mirror’s Loch Henry, One Of The Most Disturbing Entries To The Series

Black Mirror is back after a long hiatus, and many believe that season six has been a solid return to form for the much-loved Netflix anthology series. Arguably the strongest episode of the five new ones is the second offering, Loch Henry. This isn’t a traditional tech-focused Black Mirror episode. It’s more of a tribute to the booming true crime genre that has flourished in the streaming era. LOCH HENRY: Every Loch has its Monster pic.twitter.com/RTW4EwTzAG — Netflix Geeked (@NetflixGeeked) June 5, 2023 The Theme of Episode May Startle Some Viewers. Viewers will have noticed the word Loch when looking at the episode title for the second entry to the sixth season of Charlie Brooker’s mind-bending series. However, it wasn’t followed by Ness, the word that most mainstream audiences would associate with it. Still, seeing that word may have had people speculating about what the episode could involve, with ideas about monsters coming to mind. Of course, that’s because the
