Don Mancini Gives Details About Upcoming Child’s Play Series

Back in June, Child’s Play creator Don Mancini, who also wrote and directed most of the franchise, teased the upcoming TV series based on the film featuring Chucky. Mancini recently appeared on the podcast Post Mortem With Mick Garris and revealed a few of the series’ details. Just from having worked on Hannibal and Channel Zero… I saw an opportunity to reinvent the franchise yet again,” Mancini told Garris, whose own directing credits include Psycho IV and the upcoming horror anthology Nightmare Cinema. “One of the things that has kept the franchise alive and thriving for so long is that we’ve reinvented it in different ways, by making it a comedy, and then back to horror. But the sheer storytelling real estate of doing eight to 10 episodes… will allow us to delve into characters and relationships in a way that we’re never afforded in just a 90-minute movie. That’s really exciting to me. We’re going to be able to

Actor Nyasha Hatendi Talks Hulu’s “Into The Dark”, Replicas, And More

I had the opportunity to talk with Nyasha Hatendi, who stars in the third episode of Hulu’s horror anthology series “Into the Dark”, one of my favorite new series. Hatendi is an impressive actor who got his start on stage and appeared in “King Charles III“, which received 6 Tony nominations including Best Play, before appearing in the series “Casual”, films like The Front Runner, and in the films The Good Shephard where he stars opposite Robert De Niro, and the soon to be released movie Replicas with Keanu Reeves. Set to premiere on December 7th, “Into the Dark: Pooka” is a Christmas themed nightmare starring Hatendi as Wilson, a struggling actor who gets a temp job as the Christmas character in a plush suit to promote Pooka, the hottest toy of the year. At first, it’s not a bad gig, but as time goes by Pooka slowly takes over. Horror Fuel: “You got your start in theater. What made

Ten Minute Trailer Released For The Horror Comedy Series “Cursed”

A 10-minute teaser trailer has been released from the pilot episode of the horror comedy series “Cursed“, from Connor Fairclough, the creator of Head Above Water and award-winning producer Tristan Barr. Had to distance yourself from a clingy demon spirit in the form of a clown? Isaac and Ned have, and they’re not overly thrilled about it. This supernatural series parodies the clichés and techniques typically found in the horror genre, similar in style to Shawn of the Dead. Shot with the intention of an online release, “Cursed” draws influence and satirizes such horror films as The Conjuring, IT, The NUN, and Annabelle. The series follows Isaac (Kyle McCallion), who releases a curse on himself after fiddling with an Ouija Board one drunken night. Through each episode, he and his useless
