“Franco’s appearance in Alien: Covenant will only be brief, though. He appears in the first ten minutes or so of the film with later small appearances.” AvP Galaxy added, “Franco will also be reprising the role as Branson in some of the viral footage that has been shot for Alien: Covenant.”
Franco has a long list of fantastic roles on resume including the time traveling miniseries ‘11.22.63’, ‘The Night Before’, ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’, ‘This is the End’, ‘127 Hours’, and ‘Pineapple Express’. His most recent project, the comedy ‘Why Him?’, will hit theaters on December 23rd.
He will join Danny McBride, his long time friend and co-star on multiple projects, as well as fellow ‘Covenant’ crew members Michael Fassbender, Demian Bichir, Alex England , Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez.
“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
‘Alien Covenant’ is set to land in theaters nationwide on May 19, 2017. We will update you when we know more.
