Jared Leto’s latest role as the Joker in ‘Suicide Squad’ has just ended and he’s already moving on to his next project. Leto has joined the cast of the upcoming sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic ‘Blade Runner’. He will play the role of a new character, according to an announcement from Alcon Entertainment.
The Oscar-winner will co-star alongside Harrison Ford who will be reprising his original role. Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis and Barkhad Abdi will also co-star. Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) will be in the director’s chair for the film, which is set decades after the original . The script was penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green. Warner Bros. has already set the theatrical release for October 6, 2017.
