News has finally come regarding Ridley Scott’s newly retitled film ‘Alien: Covenant‘, via Bloody-Disgusting. The website got their hands on not only official logo, but the synopsis as well. The logo looks very similar to the logo of the original ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’ films.
“Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ‘Alien’ with ‘Alien: Covenant’, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with ‘Prometheus’-and conects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science-fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Scott has hinted towards a new origin story for the Alien Xenomorphs as well as a new group of travelers.
It will be a while before we see the film, Twentieth Century Fox has set the premiere date of ‘Alien: Covenant’ as October 6th, 2017.
