Fans of ‘The Lost Boys’ franchise might be happy to learn that The CW is currently developing a series based on the 1987 cult classic directed by Joel Schumacher.

Deadline broke the news that iZombie’s Rob Thomas is both developing and writing the script for the series for The CW, in conjunction with Gulfstream TV an Warner Bros.

The series is being planned as a seven season story. It will follow a group of vampires as they live through the triumphs and tribulations over the decades. Each season will be set in a different decade, beginning in San Francisco in the late 1960’s.
