NJ High School Crushes Stage Production Of Alien

School plays usually don’t bring to mind horror, except for the fact that they are usually terrifyingly dull. But one high school play is taking social media by storm, the North Bergen High School Drama Club in New Jersey is making headlines with their recent stage production of Alien. Aptly titled Alien: The Play. The show was anything but dull. Presented this past Wednesday and Friday, their play was shared by audience members revealing fantastic costumes, props, and backgrounds. Even though the play’s budget was small, especially for a high school production, everyone who saw the play was left impressed. The production’s art director, art teacher Steven Defendini, said there were audible gasps from the crowd as the curtain was lifted. When the actual alien appeared they were screaming,” Defendini stated when describing the reaction when the Xenomorph made its entrance on stage. The production’s fifteen sets were built by Defendini and six students/performers. They also handcrafted the costumes which

Blu-ray Review: The Greasy Strangler (2016)

Prize-winning bullshit artist, and greasy food enthusiast Big Ronnie (Michael St. Michaels) lives with his son Big Brayden (Sky Elobar) and runs a walking tour of supposed disco hot spots around town. That’s all fine and dandy, but there is also a grease covered strangler stalking the streets…which is also Ronnie. As all that greasing and killing is going on, Brayden starts a relationship with a woman named Janet ( Elizabeth De Razzo), huge quantities of grease are consumed, we meet a man that wears a paper pig nose, cocks fill the screen (prosthetic, outrageous ones at that), Ronnie washes himself in Big Paul’s (Gil Gex) car wash…I mean basically a better synopsis would be; Penis, grease, murder. Look, I’m not going to mince words with you fine freaky fuckers…The Greasy Strangler will not…repeat WILL NOT be for everyone (some would argue anyone). It’s crude, disgusting, annoying…so who will it appeal to? Well, me for starters, but also lovers of

Blu-ray Review: The Vault (2017)

Leah (Francesca Eastwood), her sister Vee (Taryn Manning), their brother Michael (Scott Haze…who we interviewed right here), and a small crew decide to rob a bank to acquire half a mil to help Michael out with some vague bullshit in his life (something about owing the wrong people money). Being a bunch of disorganized, in-fighting, bad luck cases, they only find 70 large in the vault…but the bank’s assistant manager Ed (James Franco) assures them their is an older vault hidden beneath the bank that contains a small fortune. Once down there, things take a decidedly supernatural turn as our anti-heroes are menaced by a preternatural figure that is out for revenge for a robbery that was botched decades earlier! Ever since Rodriguez and Tarantino worked their magic back in ’96 with From Dusk Till Dawn, folks have been trying to mix and match their crime pictures with the horror biz to varying degrees of success. So how does The

Instagram Believes Horror Is Bad

Instagram, an affiliate site connected to Facebook is famous for attention seeking wannabe models, armature foodies, showcasing artists, celebrities sharing behind the scenes of their personal lives, and constantly being down. You can search for the type of images you want to see by their hashtags (#) but one hashtag is flagged… Horror. That’s right, #Horror is flagged on Instagram. If you search for horror, a page will pop up and asking if “They” (Instagram) can help as horror, they claim, often encourages harmful behavior, don’t believe me? Well, calling on their bluff I looked up known dangerous behavior. #drinkinggames is safe even though these can attribute to alcohol poisoning, same with #beerpong, #drinking, and #drunk. This may not sound that bad, but some of the posts I’ve looked at star those who look to be a little too young to be drinking. According to the CDC’s fact sheet on underage drinking; in 2017 14% of High School students binge
