Movie Review: Dead By Midnight (11pm Central) (2018)

A mysterious monster movie hostess (Erin Brown; Misty Mundae herself!) begins broadcasting her haunted Halloween hootenanny from within an abandoned studio owned by a doomed rural television station. As the night progresses we are treated to a cadre of creepy cool tales each inexplicably starring a different, and suddenly missing, member of the station’s staff! First up we get the ’80’s set creature feature Jersey Devil which concerns the misadventures of pre-teen Emma and the battered waitress that showed up on her doorstep going head to head with the legendary cryptid of the Pine Barrens. The comedic interplay between Avri Bartolozzi as Emma, and Davi Crimmins as the beleaguered waitress Dani is absolutely fantastic, the story is high on camp, and the creature suit is Grade-A fuckin’ badass…this is a solid gold winner in my beastly book (and if your listening, how about turning this one into a feature)! Next up is Creepy Dolls, in which a trio investigates an

The action-packed trailer features ‘Storms’, a track from Powderfinger’s lead guitarist and songwriter, Darren Middleton. “After their small Australian country town is annihilated by an overwhelming airborne attack, a group of civilians evade capture and discover they are now among the last remaining survivors of an extraterrestrial invasion engulfing the entire planet. As humanity falls under worldwide occupation, they form a home-grown army to fight back against vastly superior enemy forces. On the frontlines of the battle for Earth, they are our last hope.” The stellar ensemble cast of local and international talent includes Dan Ewing (Red Billabong), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars), Stephany Jacobsen (Revenge), Rhiannon Fish (The 100), Jacqueline McKenzie (The Water Diviner), and Bruce Spence (Star Wars, Mad Max 2). Production wrapped on the Gold Coast in late 2017, which involved local crew and a supporting cast of more than 300 people. The alien invasion

Movie Review: Island Zero (2017)

Something is seriously wrong up in Maine; namely a small fishing island has become isolated A.F. thanks to the one ferry on or off the island disappearing. To make matters worse, the phone lines are dead, all boats to the mainland fail to return, and the entire place is under a power blackout. As food supplies dwindle and anxiety levels rise, folks start turning up mutilated and the island finds itself at the mercy of a monster from the deep! Beautifully shot on location, with plenty of steel-grey skies and rain to add to the dreary ambiance, Island Zero certainly looks the part of atmospheric creature feature! Adding to the strength of the picture are rock solid acting, a nice slow burn story line fraught with mounting tension (and a nice layer of mythology) as the isolation begins playing on an ever more desperate populace…and the human remains start popping up, and moments of well realized, practical gore. Sounds great,

Rick And Marty Are Back! Adult Swim Gives The Series A Massive Renewal!

What started out as a normal day has quickly become an amazing day. Fans (including us) of Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” were crushed when they came to realization that we probably wouldn’t see Rick and Morty have another adventure after the finale months ago. But just when we thought it was all over, Adult Swim comes through with a massive 70-episode order! That’s right, 70! The massive renewal comes along with an overall deal the network signed with the show’s creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, according to Variety. The series follows Rick, a sociopathic genius, and his grandson Morty as they go on insanely dangerous adventures throughout the multi-verse. The big announcement that Roiland and Harmon were going back to work on the series in a strange Instagram post earlier today. https://www.instagram.com/p/BimmtxqhcBX/?hl=en&taken-by=danharmon I don’t know about you, but I’m happy as hell!

‘The Peterson Case’, A Detective Game That’s Out Of This World

The developers at Quarter Circle Games will plunge players into a detective story like no other in The Peterson Case, a truly unique horror game set in 1947 Roswell, New Mexico. You are Franklyn Reinhardt, a detective, and you’re looking into the disappearance of the Peterson family. While investigating the house, Reinhardt discovers there is something else in the empty home. Players will have to solve puzzles that will help Reinhardt discover what happened to the Peterson family. The obvious element of the story is that The Peterson Case involves aliens, 1947 in Roswell ‘nough said, but it’s not the typical alien encounter type gameplay, it seems to be more cerebral. Reinhardt (from what can be seen in the trailer) is taken to different places or events in his life where it seems the extraterrestrials are pulling the strings. The Peterson Case will be out sometime in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

‘Hero’ Stray Dog In Bear Attack Video: The Disturbing Truth

In the infamous selfie bear attack video, an Indian man was mauled to death by an injured Sloth Bear after he tried to take a selfie with it. It was reported and it’s seen in the video that a stray dog rushed over in the middle of the tussle in what was described as an attempt to “help” the man being attacked. There are a couple things wrong with the statement, first, it’s what’s called in the field (as well as others) anthropomorphic, that’s when you give human characteristics to something nonhuman in this case, animals. Humans tend to give titles to actions animals are doing while in reality, it’s instinct or just an action. For example, I interned at a Zoo as part of my curriculum in college and I was helping out at a bear exhibit, I had to throw a bag full of trash we collected over a fence leading into a “behind the scenes” area with
