Movie Review – The Shelter Is a Cold, Dark, Introspective Journey

The Shelter Written and Directed by – John Fallon Featuring – Michael Paré, Lauren Alexandra, Amy Wickenheiser, Rachel G. Whittle This is the story of a man named Thomas, and whether it’s rock bottom or the bottom of a bottle, this man is quite familiar with the concept of being lower than low. However this wasn’t always the kind of life he knew. Once he had a loving wife, a good job, a nice home and a daughter on the way. Now he lives as an aimless, homeless wanderer, getting by on the small kindnesses that others will afford him – whether he deserves them or not. Refusing to seek refuge at a local shelter, Thomas walks around town until he comes across a house that seems to beckon to him. It would appear that whomever the house belongs to isn’t home, and fortunately for him (or is it?), a door just happens to be unlocked. He makes himself at

A Recap Of The Walking Dead’s Mid-Season Finale – You May Have Missed Something Important

Well, get ready for Walking Dead withdraw. The first half of the season is over and we have to wait until February for the next episode. Ugh! While most of The Walking Dead’s mid-season finale was a slow-burn, and a couple of characters that really didn’t mean much to us were killed. But there were some really important things that happened, some more important than you may have realized. Love him or hate him, Negan has some serious swagger. I can’t help but love that shit-eating grin he has. Every time he’s about to or has been naughty he smiles like a jackass eating briers, and it’s kind of adorable. He makes things interesting again and he is the one reason this season has been tolerable. Talk about perfect casting, no one could play that bat swinging badass better that Jeffrey Dean Morgan. So, lets look at the finale. More Deaths At The Hands Of Negan Negan did us all

Surprising And Entertaining – A Review Of Pitchfork

This morning I sat down to watch Glenn Douglas Packard’s slasher ‘Pitchfork’. Watching a director’s first film is always interesting. You never know what to expect, usually it’s hit or miss. This time, I was pleasantly surprised, especially considering that this is Packard’s first real introduction into the genre. Packard’s well known for his work as a dancer and choreographer. He also serves as creative director and producer for the new series Men of the Strip on the E! Network. This Prime Time Emmy Award nominee has racked up quite a few awards, including two Fright Night Film Festival awards for Best Director and Best Feature Film for ‘Pitchfork’. ‘Pitchfork’ follows a young man who “recently shared a life-changing secret with his family, Hunter recruits his friends to come with him from New York to the farm where he grew up as he faces his parents for the first time. As the college students enjoy the fresh air of Michigan

Fede Alvarez Confirms He Will Make Don’t Breathe 2

Fede Alvarez’s hit home-invasion film ‘Don’t Breathe‘ has been a huge success, raking in $152 million at the box office alone, which is pretty impressive for a film that cost $10 million to make. I expect the Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD numbers will be impressive as well. Taking the numbers in consideration, it’s no surprise that a sequel is in the works. Alvarez revealed to Coming Soon that after he wraps production on his next film, ‘The Girl in the Spider Web’, the sequel to ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, he will begin working on ‘Don’t Breathe 2’. In ‘Don’t Breathe’, Jane Levy, who also starred in Alvarez’s Evil Dead, plays the role of Rocky, a young woman desperate for money who goes along with her boyfriend Money (Daniel Zovato) and their friend Alex (Dylan Minnette) on what they think is easy score. The trio target a blind man (Stephen Lang), but after breaking into his home they
