Fede Alvarez’s hit home-invasion film ‘Don’t Breathe‘ has been a huge success, raking in $152 million at the box office alone, which is pretty impressive for a film that cost $10 million to make. I expect the Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD numbers will be impressive as well. Taking the numbers in consideration, it’s no surprise that a sequel is in the works.
Alvarez revealed to Coming Soon that after he wraps production on his next film, ‘The Girl in the Spider Web’, the sequel to ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, he will begin working on ‘Don’t Breathe 2’.
In ‘Don’t Breathe’, Jane Levy, who also starred in Alvarez’s Evil Dead, plays the role of Rocky, a young woman desperate for money who goes along with her boyfriend Money (Daniel Zovato) and their friend Alex (Dylan Minnette) on what they think is easy score. The trio target a blind man (Stephen Lang), but after breaking into his home they discover they have made a terrible mistake. Now, they are in fight for survival.
‘Don’t Breathe’ is now out on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
