The film sees a seriously hair-raising, tentatively twisted story perfectly delivered by talented director Vishal Furia backed by the production by T-Series, Abundantia Entertainment, and Crypt TV. A remake of the Marathi film Lapachhapi, the film features Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role. Crypt TV is known for showcasing a

Movie Review: Red River Road (A Night of Horror International Film Festival)

Movie Review: Red River Road (A Night of Horror International Film Festival)

Red River Road (2020) depicts a family becoming increasingly fractured as the effects of a lockdown because of an epidemic take their toll. This is no biologically spread epidemic, though, and the truth behind whether it really exists or not is also challenged, leading to dissension among family members. Red River Road was made entirely during COVID-19 lockdown by writer/director Paul Schuyler, with his family acting as cast and crew. Father Stephen (Schuyler), his wife Anna (Jade Schuyler), and their teenage sons Wyatt (Quinn Schuyler) and Sean (Shaw Schuyler) have moved from Boston to their rural summer home to avoid contact with other people as much as possible during the lockdown for an epidemic that is spread through online contact, and which makes people go insane before killing them. Random assortments of groceries and other necessities are delivered daily, apparently by a government agency, with requests taken over landline phones. People find it physically impossible to leave their immediate residence

‘Apocalypse Now: Final Cut’ Now Out On Steelbook

Over the past few months, Lionsgate has released a series of fantastic films on Steelbooks, sold exclusively at Best Buy, including 3 From Hell. It stands out as one of the finest films ever made. The film, originally released in 1979, follows a U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam who is tasked with assassinating a renegade Special Forces Colonel who sees himself as a god. Martin Sheen stars alongside Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall in the film that, unlike many others, in no way glamorizes the war instead it uses its brutality and ugliness to explain how everyday men can turn into monsters. Apocalypse Now opens with glimpses of choppers and the lush jungle which served

The Real ‘Curse Of Akkad’

The Real ‘Curse Of Akkad’

In the recently released horror game The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, like the previous titles in the series, the basis of the game’s plot comes from historical events, in Man of Medan it was the urban legend during WWII of a ghost ship, in Little Hope, it was the Salem Witch Trials, and now in House of Ashes it’s the Curse of Akkad. At the start of the story, we see the Akkadians sacrificing Gutian soldiers with Naram-Sin of Akkad watching over before the curse takes shape in a supernatural way dooming Naram-Sin and the Akkadians. Historically there was mentioned a curse that befell the ancient ruler and his people, but what was it really? Let’s get right to it! Naram-Sin of Akkad was a real ruler, the fourth out of seven rulers of the Akkadian Empire that is now modern Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey. It was said that he and the empire fell out of favor
