From the Creator Of Final Destination Comes ‘The Call’ – Out This Halloween
“Four Friends. One Phone Call. 60 Seconds to Stay Alive. In the fall of 1987, a group of small-town friends must survive the night in the home of a sinister couple after a tragic accident occurs in The Call. Needing only to make a single phone call, the request seems rather simple until they realize that this call could change their life…or end it.” Led by horror icons Lin Shaye (Insidious franchise, Ouija) and Tobin Bell (Saw, Jigsaw), The Call has been a hit with both audiences and critics alike. In addition to the strong performances from the cast, the film benefited from the uncompromising direction of Timothy Woodward Jr. and the fear-inducing vision of Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick whose film Don’t Look Back (review) has also just been released. After a successful nationwide theatrical and drive-in run, The Call premieres on October 30th on Premium VOD and Digital platforms.

31 Days Of Anime Horror Part 29: ‘Unico And The Island Of Magic’
It’s October and that means it’s time to get into the spirit of the season, and obviously nothing gets you into the Halloween mood better than horror. Unfortunately when it comes to most live-action horror films, there’s only so much that can be done and shown, but thankfully of all things, Anime can cross the line with story, gore, and intriguing storytelling. So for every day this month, I’ll be featuring a unique Anime that fits the horror genre that you can most likely find on any streaming service. Let’s look at something that’s not really horror but was meant for little kids and was pretty goddamn terrifying, Unico and the Island of Magic. Unico and the Island of Magic (1983) is a children’s movie about a small unicorn named Unico who is living in exile and in this film was left in a forest and discovered by a little girl who takes him in as a pet where shortly

Loretta Devine Talks The Magic And The Horrors Of ‘Spell’ In Our Interview
When you hear certain actresses’ names, you know they will bring prestige to any film or series they star—actresses with an incredible talent that never fails to impress. Loretta Devine is one of those actresses. I’ve followed her career from Waiting to Exhale to the Urban Legend franchise, “Supernatural,” and everything in between. That includes her most recent role in the supernatural horror Spell from director Mark Tonderai and writer Kurt Wimmer. In Spell, Omari Hardwick stars as Marquis. He and his family leave the big city aboard his plane to return to the Tennesse mountains, where he was born, for his father’s funeral. When the plane is caught in a terrible storm, it crashes. Marquis wakes to find that he’s in the attic of Eloise (Mrs. Devine) and her husband, not knowing where his family is or that Eloise isn’t the kind of southern woman he thinks she is. Serious “root magic” is at play here that will change

Movie Review: Come Play
When Oliver, a young boy, reads a story online about misunderstood monsters he has no idea that is about to unleash a monster, putting himself and his parents in the path of a relentless entity hellbent on dragging Oliver back to his world. Being autistic and no-verbal (he doesn’t talk) has left Oliver with no friends and with a mother who struggles to cope with the situation. The monster in this film is drawn to the boy because of his loneliness. Making the situation both sad and frightening. While yes, Come Play is a horror film, it’s also much more. It’s about one family’s struggle to cope with autism. I guess it affected me more than it will some others. You see, I have an autistic nephew who is precious. He was non-verbal for years and the thought that something or someone could get to him through his loneliness scares the hell out of me as does the thought that
