Jane Levy and Stephen Lang Reunite for 'Don’t Breathe 3'

Jane Levy and Stephen Lang Reunite for ‘Don’t Breathe 3’

It’s been a decade since director Fede Álvarez unleashed the intense home-invasion thriller Don’t Breathe. The original film introduced audiences to Stephen Lang’s terrifying, visually impaired Navy SEAL veteran Norman Nordstrom. He is better known as “The Blind Man.” The character morphed from a menacing antagonist in the 2016 original into a complex antihero in the 2021 sequel. While Levy sat out the second installment and led the franchise down a controversial narrative path, the series is preparing for a major course correction. Don’t Breathe 3 is officially moving forward, bringing both Levy and Lang back to resolve the open-ended rivalry that started it all. Beyond Fest Announcement and Franchise Origins Álvarez revealed the development on stage during a Beyond Fest Q&A. He confirmed that a script for Don’t Breathe 3 is complete and both original leads are locked to return. Álvarez directed the original 2016 film, which became a massive box office hit. Co-writer Rodo Sayagues stepped up to

A First Look at Jean-François Richet's 'The Hunchback, Soul of Paris' Ahead of Netflix Premiere

A First Look at Jean-François Richet’s ‘The Hunchback, Soul of Paris’ Ahead of Netflix Premiere

When horror enthusiasts reflect on the Golden Age of Universal Monsters, iconic figures like Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, and the Mummy dominate the discussion. Yet, several foundational characters laid the groundwork for that legendary roster without always receiving equal recognition. Universal Pictures released The Hunchback of Notre Dame starring Lon Chaney, establishing a cinematic bridge to classic creature features. Though Victor Hugo’s gothic narrative is not a pure horror story, Quasimodo’s tragic disfigurement and societal isolation helped invent the monster archetype that defined cinema for decades. In the past, however, screen adaptations of Hugo’s work have varied wildly. They range from lighthearted tragicomedies to Disney’s animated musical standard. Beneath every interpretation lies an inherently macabre core built on obsession, societal cruelty, and dark urban atmosphere. Director Jean-François Richet aims to tap into those gothic roots in his upcoming Netflix feature, The Hunchback, Soul of Paris. He wants to give the classic tale a grounded, sinister edge. A Grounded Historical Take on

Marking David Gordon’s feature directorial debut, the psychologically driven genre satire heads to the world’s premier fantasy and horror festival for its first public screening. All while mounting a sharp interrogation of toxic masculinity and the “nice guy” trope. Reflecting on the role, Corbett says playing Elliot was a surprisingly healing experience. He offers
