“The Walking Dead” star Steven Yeun returns to horror in a brand-new Netflix series titled “Pagans.” In the new series, he plays a grieving father who becomes the sole caretaker for two young children.

The Expanding Cast

Deadline has now shared some casting news. Logan Kim joins the show as Nate. He previously appeared in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and played teenage Hershel Rhee in “Dead City” as the beloved son of Glenn and Maggie. Kim plays Yeun’s on-screen son again.

Several other talented actors have joined the starring cast. Marin Ireland brings her talent to the supernatural project. Fans know her from The Boogeyman and The Dark and the Wicked. Meanwhile, Intae Kim from “Severance” will play Gus’s younger brother. Sabine Grace makes her highly anticipated television debut here.

A Sinister Family Plot

The compelling plot follows Gus. He suffers the tragic loss of his beloved wife. Afterward, he must raise his two children on his own. His son, Nate, seems perfectly typical. However, his daughter, Alice, is truly anything but normal. Grace will portray Alice as the family’s black sheep. Initially, the father and daughter share a strained relationship. Eventually, this dynamic becomes far more sinister.

Production and High Expectations

The supernatural series has been described in vivid terms. It is equal parts emotional, horrifying, and unexpectedly humorous. Moreover, “Pagans“ unearths our darkest thoughts regarding family life. The highly anticipated project sparked an intense bidding war last September. It later received a massive straight-to-series order.

Showrunner Joshua Zetumer successfully created this terrifying new universe. Drew Goddard joins the team as an executive producer. Additionally, Sarah Esberg and Jonathan van Tulleken will serve as executive producers. Finally, Erica Kay rounds out the impressive production team.

The premiere date for “Pagans” hasn’t been revealed yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
