Small Town Monsters Documentary ‘Skinwalker: The Howl of the Rougarou’ Is Out Today

Small Town Monsters is back with the new documentary Skinwalker: The Howl of the Rougarou that delves into the legends that surround the blood-thirsty creature. For centuries, stories have persisted throughout the southern swamps of something truly otherworldly: a terrifying, hirsute creature known by locals as the Rougarou. These legends predate the first immigrant settlers who made their way into the murky waters and dark forests of the south, yet the Rougarou has only recently made its way into pop culture via appearances in horror films, a regional festival, and even a roller coaster ride. Small Town Monsters and director Seth Breedlove peel back the curtain on this unheralded beast in their latest documentary Skinwalker: The Howl of the Rougarou. Breedlove interviewed witnesses and local experts who help to unveil the creature who will be featured in this first-ever look at what is often referred to as the Cajun Werewolf. The Rougarou has been long thought to simply be a

Small Town Monsters’ “On The Trail Of UFOs: Dark Sky” Lands This August

Cryptid documentarian Seth Breedlove and paranormal researcher Shannon LeGro continue their search for the truth behind the enigma of unidentified flying objects in the latest Small Town Monsters release: On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky. Dark Sky explores the UFO topic from the point of view of LeGro; a podcast host and author and focuses more heavily on eyewitness accounts than typical alien fare. This project excited us because we were able to look into reports from real people in real places that still connect what they’re seeing to what is being talked about in the mainstream media today,” Breedlove said. “Particularly, this idea of why these objects or lights in the sky might actually be here on earth and how they might be closer connected to us than we think.” On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky is the follow-up to 2020’s “On the Trail of UFOs: Season 1“, an episodic series created by Breedlove and LeGro and

Small Town Monsters Is On The Hunt In ‘On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Journey’ (Trailer)

Following a wildly successful 2020 with the releases of Mark of the Bell Witch and The Mothman Legacy, Small Town Monsters has announced the release of their latest documentary, On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Journey. The Journey is the follow-up to the miniseries “On the Trail of Bigfoot”, and cryptid documentarian Seth Breedlove leads the Small Town Monsters team deep into the Adirondacks on the hunt for Sasquatch. Breedlove and his handpicked crew of adventurers and investigators headed to the Adirondacks of upstate New York for an intensive, adventure-filled week searching for Sasquatch. The team documented the trip, which included multiple days and nights in the forests around upstate New York and Western Massachusetts. Their trip was spent with Bigfoot researchers like Steve Kulls (“Monsterquest”) and Paul Bartholomew (Finding Bigfoot, Beast of Whitehall) who led them on the search for their quarry. The Journey is directed and edited by Seth Breedlove, who produced alongside Adrienne Breedlove, and features animations

New Small Town Monsters Documentary Explores The Legend Of ‘Momo: The Missouri Monster’

A new “docu-drama” from indie film production company, Small Town Monsters, seeks to tell the true and truly strange story of the Missouri Monster. The hair-covered, three-toed monstrosity was said to have prowled the forests of “Star Hill” near Louisiana, Missouri during the summer of 1972 where it was seen by terrified citizens for weeks. The case gained national media attention during the ’70s and remains one of the largest tourist draws for the tiny town, which sits on the banks of the Mississippi River. The first trailer for the film debuts today and hints at the storytelling devices employed, as well as some of the fascinating interviews and locations. The latest release from Small Town Monsters and director, Seth Breedlove, is told in narrative and documentary form. The narrative sections appear under the guise of a lost b-movie from the 70s. The horror film depicts the widely believed details of the MOMO story (said to have been inspired by

Small Town Monsters continues to explore the myths and reality of the most frightening legends. This time they take to the air with Terror in the Skies, whose trailer has just been unveiled. Director Seth Breedlove explores hundreds of years of terrifying reports of encounters with massive, winged creatures around the land of Lincoln. The first trailer for Terror in the Skies promises to open viewers’ minds to the possibility that such a thing could exist by way of believable witnesses and fascinating photographic, video and audio evidence. Small Town Monsters made waves in 2017 with their documentary The Mothman of Point Pleasant, which Terror in the Skies acts as a “spiritual sequel” to and one that will be concluded in 2020 by the final film in their Mothman

Game Review: 'Children Of Silentown'

Game Review: ‘Children Of Silentown’

With the year nearly ending I was allowed the opportunity to play Children of Silentown nearly a month early thanks to Daedelic Entertainment and Elf Games. A spooky game that’s rated E for everyone?! How does that work? Let’s find out, this is Children of Silentown. Children of Silentown takes place in a small village located in the middle of a forest that’s home to monsters that can be heard at night. Due to the threat outside the village, strict rules based on superstitions were put into place but the foundation of the village is slowly being rocked by Lucy and her quest for answers about her nightmares and the disappearance of her mother which has the village on edge. Now onto the game itself! Children of Silentown‘s controls are pretty basic as it’s a point-and-click style game, with tutorials and reminders of what buttons do what. What I really like is that when the characters “speak” (it’s in the

Star Of “From,” Harold Perrineau, Talks Monsters And Human Connections In Our Interview

One of the best new series of the year, Epix’s “From,” is headed your way this February. Ahead of its premiere, I sat down with talented actor and series star Harold Perrineau, who you’ll recognize from his role in films like the Matrix franchise and series such as “Criminal Minds,” “Z Nation,” “Claws,” and “OZ” in which he gave a brilliant performance. Harold stars as Sheriff Boyd Stevens in “From,” which sees a family stuck in a time loop and forced to acclimate to a town made up of stranded travelers. When they think things couldn’t get any worse, they discover that terrifying monsters come out to hunt when the sun goes down. Kelli McNeely: “So tell me about this, Sheriff. What kind of man is he?” Harold Perrineau: “Boyd Stevens, he’s a complicated guy, a man of service. I think that is, first and foremost, where he lands or where he lives. And he finds himself in a desperate
