Two New Clips Tease the Horror-Filled World of “Teacup”

From James Wan’s Atomic Monster and series creator Ian McCulloch (“Yellowstone”) comes the new series “Teacup.” Today, two new clips tease the horror of the things to come in this new series ahead of its premiere. “Teacup” centers on a group of people trapped on a rural farm in Georgia. To survive, they must come together to face an out-of-this-world threat as they find themselves trapped behind a line created by a mysterious stranger. One step over the line is deadly. Family drama, a suffering child, and grotesque deaths add to the chaos and well-built tension of the series that will be your new obsession. Inspired by Robert R. McCammon’s hit novel Stinger, the series stars “The Handmaid’s Tale” actress Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Kathy Baker (“Colony”), Boris McGiver (“Evil”), Chaske Spencer (Twilight franchise) and Rob Morgan (“Lawmen: Bass Reeves”). Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux round out the talented cast. The first two episodes of “Teacp“

New Featurettes and Deleted Scenes Arrive As 'Never Let Go' Lands on Digital

Lionsgate Unleashing ‘Never Let Go’ on Digital

Lionsgate is set to release the chilling horror-thriller Never Let Go on digital this October. Executive-produced by and starring Academy Award-winner Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball), the film arrives just in time for Halloween. From visionary director Alexandre Aja (Crawl) and the creative minds behind “Stranger Things” comes this psychological horror-thriller. As evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, a mother (Halle Berry) and her twin sons find their only protection is their house and deep-rooted family bond. Needing to stay connected at all times — even tethering themselves with ropes — they urge each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival. I had the pleasure of talking with director Alexandre Aja and the young stars Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV about the film and their characters. You can watch those interviews HERE.

The 'Bagman' Stalks Theaters Nationwide

The ‘Bagman’ Stalks Theaters Nationwide

This fall, prepare to be terrified. Lionsgate has just unleashed the fright-filled film Bagman in theaters. The film explores folklore, parental fear, and the lengths a father will go to protect his family. It is a heart-pounding horror that blurs the lines between folklore and reality as the creature’s shadow looms larger. In this horror film, a family is ensnared in a nightmare as a malevolent creature hunts them. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman. It snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, leaving him with lasting trauma and nightmares throughout his childhood and into adulthood. Now, Patrick’s childhood tormentor has returned. It threatens the safety of his wife Karina (Antonia Thomas) and son Jake (Caréll Vincent Rhoden). From the people behind The Strangers: Chapter 1, Bagman is directed by Colm McCarthy

Movie Review: Intensely Independent: The Micro-Budget Films of Blake Eckard – Synapse DVD

Intensely Independent: The Micro-Budget Films of Blake Eckard could easily be titled Fucked-Up Families… but then you wouldn’t know what you are buying exactly… but it would be apt regardless… Things kick off with 2011’s Bubba Moon Face… The ironically named Horton Bucks (Tyler Messner) is a penniless mother fucker who blows back into his hometown due to his mother’s demise… and there he’ll stay since he can’t afford repairs for his junky jalopy… and he’ll be staying at his brother Stanton’s (Joe Hammerstone) house located in the woods because hotel rooms cost money… it’s a complete ouroboros really… Now these two aren’t great at funeral planning, which results in the day ending at a local watering-hole where Horton encounters his (formerly jail-bait) ex… drinks and mistakes ensue, Hunter wakes up with a new baby… supposedly Stanton’s conceived with a woman named Sabetha (Sylvia Geiger) who wants absolutely zero to do with the kid… apparently neither does Stanton as he

Hair-Raising Horror Movie 'Lord of Wolves' Has Been Unleashed

Hair-Raising Horror Movie ‘Lord of Wolves’ Has Been Unleashed

Get ready to witness terrifying creatures unlike anything you have seen in Lord of Wolves, the hair-raising new horror movie written and directed by Charlie Steeds. In the movie, Nic Cross’s (played by Joshua Tonks) housemate dies under very mysterious circumstances. Nic inherits a peculiar pyramid-shaped contraption from his roommate. Little does he know that this seemingly innocent object will end up summoning a cult of people, part man, part beast, werewolf-like creatures, who lurk in the shadows of London. As Nic’s fate intertwines with three troubled strangers, old legends come to life as they band together to face the Lord of Wolves and attempt to prevent the pack from getting their paws on the mysterious object. Jake Watkins and Rosie Edwards also star in this action-packed horror movie, which Steeds, Jerome Reygner-Kalfon, and Sebastien Semon produced. This is not director Steeds’ first entry into the monster genre. He already has several entries into the werewolf subgenre, including the films

There's Something in the Woods In the New 'Never Let Go' Clip

There’s Something in the Woods In the New ‘Never Let Go’ Clip

Acclaimed director Alexandre Aja, the filmmaker behind The Hills Have Eyes and Crawl, and the minds behind “Stranger Things” have teamed up for Lionsgate’s upcoming horror film Never Let Go, starring Academy Award®-winner Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball, Gothica). A new clip has been released, teasing us that something dark and dangerous lurks in the woods. We see Berry looking out toward the forest, terrified. In the film, as evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother (Berry) and her two sons is their home, their family’s bond, and a chant echoed in the new trailer. Needing to stay connected, they tether themselves to their home with ropes and cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. The movie boasts a team of exceptional storytellers. The script is from KC Coughlin and Ryan Grassby, who have worked on projects like “Stranger Things.” Berry executive produces it with industry veterans like Shawn
