Idris Elba Is Stalked By A ‘Beast’ In Upcoming Survival Thriller

Last year it was announced that Universal Pictures will be pitting Idris Elba against a hungry lion in the survival thriller Beast, directed by Baltasar Kormákur. Universal has now announced the date that Beast will be unleashed in theaters, August 19, 2022. “[Beast] finds Elba on a trip to South Africa, only for he and his two teenage daughters to be hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savanna has but one apex predator. True Crime Thriller ‘Georgetown’ Out Today On VOD and Digital

Christoph Waltz‘s true-crime thriller Georgetown is out today on VOD and Digital from Vertical Entertainment. Featuring an amazing all-star cast that includes Academy Award® winner Vanessa Redgrave (Julia) and Academy Award® nominee Annette Bening (American Beauty), and Waltz (Inglorious Bastards), Georgetown is filled with twists, turns, and political turmoil. Frank Grillo & Bruce Willis Star In The Action-Thriller ‘A Day To Die’

Vertical Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the action-thriller A Day to Die, which recently wrapped shooting in Jackson, Mississippi. Frank Grillo (Captain America and The Purge franchises, “Kingdom,” and Boss Level), Bruce Willis (Die Hard franchise), Leon (“City on a Hill,” Cool Runnings), and Kevin Dillon (Platoon, “Entourage”) lead the cast that also includes Gianni Capaldi, Brooke Butler, Vernon Davis, Mohamed Karim, Alexander Kane, and introducing Curtis Nichouls. In the film, “A disgraced parole officer (Dillon) is indebted to a local gang leader and forced to pull off a series of dangerous drug heists within twelve hours in order to pay the $2 million dollars he owes, rescue his kidnapped pregnant wife, and settle a score with the city’s corrupt police chief (Willis), who is working with the gang leader and double-crossed him years ago.” Veteran filmmaker Wes Miller (River Runs Red, Hell on the Border) directs from the script he co-wrote with Scott Mallace and Rab Berry.
