Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Monochrome’ Kicks Off A New Franchise This October

The unique, award-winning sci-fi thriller Monochrome: The Chromism, the first film of a new franchise, is set to premiere this Fall. From writer-director Kodi Zene and producer Lozen Fükem, the film centers on Isaac Ward (Joshua Bangle), the first person to turn “hue” in this black and white world. After being shot in a downtown crossfire, he is found bleeding “red”. As Isaac’s body also begins to streak with color, other outbreaks develop across the globe. Production Begins On Thriller ‘Cobweb’ Starring “Castle Rock’s” Lizzy Caplan

Lionsgate announced today that production on the upcoming thriller Cobweb will begin production this month in Sophia, Bulgaria. The news came via Erin Westerman, President of Production for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. Filming commences hot off the heels of the successful wrap of Lionsgate’s The Devil’s Light, which was also filmed in Bulgaria. Commenting on the announcement, Westerman said, “We are big believers in the horror business, and the continuous need for content so we are thrilled to be partnered with Vertigo and Point Grey in bringing Sam Bodin’s first film to screen.” Westerman states. Morgan Freeman And Ruby Rose Starring In The Dark Action-Thriller ‘Vanquish’

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman and “Batwoman” star Ruby Rose have signed to lead the cast of George Gallo‘s (Bad Boys) action thriller Vanquish, Deadline reports. Freeman stars as a retired police commissioner who blackmails his caretaker Victoria (Rose) by kidnapping her daughter and forces her to into helping him double-cross his team of dirty detectives in an attempt to clean up the city. Currently filming in Biloxi, Mississippi, Vanquish co-stars Nick Valletnonga, Miles Doleac, Patrick Muldoon, Juju Brener, and Julie Lott. Gallo directed from the script he co-wrote with Samuel Bartlett, based on the idea by Bartlett.
