An Interview With ‘3 From Hell’ Star Bill Moseley

Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell is set to be unleashed on September 16th. Ahead of the premiere, I had the pleasure of sitting down with horror icon Bill Moseley, who first played the role of the brutal badass Otis Firefly in House of 1,000 Corpses back in 2003. Moseley took on Otis again in the second film of the trilogy, The Devil’s Rejects. Now, Moseley is back in 3 From Hell. Zombie’s bloody trilogy follows the Firefly family, Otis, Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) and Winslow (Richard Brake) as the slash their way out of prison and hit the road on the run. Moseley gave me insight into who Otis really is, how he thinks, and how he became the iconic character with a taste for bloodshed. He also reminded me that while Otis is a bad man he does have a good side, he will do anything to protect his family. Horror Fuel: “I saw 3

Actor-Director Cuyle Carvin Talks The Walking Dead, Swamp Thing And His Film Dolls

Actor turned director Cuyle Carvin has been a busy man lately between his roles on DC Universe’s “Swamp Thing”, “The Walking Dead”, and directing his haunted doll film, simply titled Dolls, which Cuyle sat down with me to discuss. In Dolls, a struggling children’s book author and his rebellious teenage daughter move into a house they’ve inherited and find mysterious dolls in the attic. They soon learn that the dolls have a sinister — and deadly — past. Thomas Downey, Trinity Simpson and genre icon Dee Wallace star in Dolls, written by Justin Hawkins and Josh Hawkins, with Jeff Miller (Ouija House, The Toybox) also contributing to the story. Horror Fuel: “Do you mind if I ask about your role of The Walking Dead? And playing a Savior?” Cuyle Carvin: “It’s my favorite show. Half of my career, especially at the start, I played a lot of bad guys. Bad guys are more fun I think. Most actors will probably

Pauly Shore Tells Us About Making His Crossover To Horror With ‘Sin City Psycho’ And More

The name Pauly Shore is one you will all recognize. While you know him best as a comedian, Shore is revealing his darker side. Yesterday he released his most recent short film, titled Sin City Psycho where he plays the role of a psychotic killer. Not only does Shore star, but he also wrote, directed and produced the film. Even though we know Shore for comedic films like Bio-Dome, Son in Law, and Encino Man, he pulls off the role of a killer quite well. We happen to have the full short film here for you to see. I sat down for a conversation with Pauly Shore about Sin City Psycho, his past projects, and what the future might hold. Horror Fuel: “It’s nice to see you in the role of a dramatic character.” Pauly Shore: “When I first started acting, before all my comedy, did all dramatic stuff. It’s been inside of me. My mom died, I went through

Starship Troopers’ Casper Van Dien Talks ‘Darkness Reigns’ And More

Casper Van Dean, that’s a name everyone recognizes. When you hear it, odds are, you automatically think of the giant bug movie Starship Troopers. Well, Mr. Van Dien sat down with me to talk about that iconic film and his latest projects, including the supernatural film Darkness Reigns. Horror Fuel: “What was it like on the set of Starship Troopers?” Casper Van Dien: “It was a little bit surreal at the time. I was on this massive production team, with Edward Neumeier, writer of RoboCop, which I am a huge fan of. They had all the same team that worked on RoboCop. I am such fan that. All the actors and all the crew, the extras, there were so many people. It felt like a real family though. We all got along really well for the most part.” Horror Fuel: “Did they use mostly practical effects or was most of it CGI?” Caper Van Dien: “It was hard. There were

Gregg Daniel Talks Truth or Dare And True Blood In An Interview

Actor Gregg Daniel and I sat down to talk about some of his many roles, including Truth or Dare, which recently opened in theaters, and his recurring role on series like “True Blood“. Gregg got his start on the stage while at NYU’s Tisch Scholl of the Arts before going on to appear in over a hundred roles in films like Hancock, Spider-Man 3, and Hollywood Homicide. You might also recognize him for his appearances in “Grey’s Anatomy”, “True Detective”, “Castle”, “Weeds”, or “Ghost Whisperer.” Horror Fuel: “Where did you find your inspiration for your portrayal of Reverend Daniels in True Blood?” Gregg Daniel: “I grew up in the church. My father was very involved in the church. We went to church every Sunday. I went to Sunday school for an hour, then we’d go to the service. So, I have a long line of being involved with the church as well. In fact, I thought that I was going

Prodigy’s Richard Neil Talks Acting & Supernatural Powers In An Interview

Richard Neil, best known for his work as Aratak in the best-selling video game ‘Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds’ and for such films and TV series as “Veronica Mars” and “Eli Stone”, stars in the upcoming supernatural thriller Prodigy, a film about a psychologist who engages a dangerous, young genius in a battle of wits — unaware of the supernatural power the girl possesses, or that her life hangs in the balance. Neil was kind enough to take us inside Prodigy and answer a few of my questions about both the film and his career. Horror Fuel: “: How did your work in theater prepare you for your acting career?” Richard Neil: “Well, for me, it’s getting over yourself, and trying to conquer one’s nerves. Relaxation and staying present really is the secret. Being “in the moment” as they say, not anticipating what is to come. Even though you’ve rehearsed it a thousand times, doing whatever it takes to

Dale Midkiff Talks ‘Pet Semetary’, ‘Hell’s Kitty’, And Cows In An Interview

When I got the opportunity to interview Dale Midkiff, I jumped at the chance. I’ll be honest I may have even had a “fangirl” moment while talking with Dale, the star of one of my favorite classic horror films, Pet Sematary. While he was amazing the film, he’s also had so many roles in a lot of great films and series, including “The Magnificant Seven” series, The Crow: Salvation, Deep Rescue, Flight of the Living Dead, “Dexter”, and most recently Hell’s Kitty. Hell’s Kitty is a cameo-filled horror comedy from writer-director Nicholas Tana about a man and his possessed cat Angel. The cast of Hell’s Kitty sounds like a who’s who of horror with cameos from Midkiff, Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), John Franklin (Children of the Corn), Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet), and Lynn Lowry (The Crazies). Horror Fuel: “You were amazing in ‘Pet Sematary’.

I sat down with award-winning actor Marshal Hilton to talk about both past projects like the Bunnyman franchise, and his roles in several soon to be released films including Primal Rage, Astro. Hilton also gave us an inside look at what it’s like to star in horror films, the good, the bad, and the gooey. Horror Fuel: “How did you get your start?” Marshal Hilton: “I wish it was some grand design to tell you about, but it isn’t. I was born in Long Beach, California and raised up thirty minutes north of Los Angeles. You’re never a headshot, a script, and a friend away from a role. I had that creative thing inside of me. I’ve been in and out of Hollywood since I was a kid. It’s something I continue to work at and do and the jobs just keep coming. I’ve probably worked on seventy or eighty films.
