Blu-ray Review: The Bloodhound (2020)

Estranged college chums Francis (Liam Aiken) and Jean Paul (Joe Adler) re-unite as ol’ JP has some sort of malady and could use a helping hand or two, and Francis is down on his luck and needs a place to stay. Also in the abode is JP’s twin sis, Vivian (Annalise Basso), whom Francis has a past with… but JP tells Francis to stay away from her as she’s become violently unhinged… but as is the way, the two do meet, and Viv has a doomsayer bag to lay all upon our hero involving her brother. Also in the mix is the eponymous Bloodhound, a crawling, faceless figure springing forth from JP’s nightmares that exists only to destroy the occupants of whatever house he decides to grace with his unholy presence… so Francis is in for one hell of a visit, that’s for damn sure… The Bloodhound, a slow-burn, loosey-goosey interpretation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Fall of the House

‘Slender Man’ Stalks Its Second Trailer

A new trailer is here for Sony Pictures’ frightening flick Slender Man. The new trailer is the second to be released and reveals some seriously creepy footage. Set in a small town in Massachusetts, the film centers on four high school girls who perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of Slender Man. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, HIS latest victim.” The Conjuring and Wish Upon‘s Joey King and Julia Goldani Telles star along with Annalise Basso (Captain Fantastic), Jaz Sinclair (When The Bough Breaks), and Alex Fitzalan. ‘Slender Man’ To Face ‘The Meg’

In what seems to be a dicey move Sony Pictures has changed the release date of Slender Man putting it directly in the path of New Line’s The Meg, one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year. Sony’s relationship with Slender Man has been strained from the get-go. Back in May, the producers of the film were shopping it around to other studios and streaming services after producers and Sony had disagreements about the studio’s release strategy, Bloody Disgusting reports. Reportedly, the date was changed in hopes of snagging teen moviegoers while they are still on summer break. Directed by Sylvian White, Slender Man centers on the tall, featureless figure born from a Something Awful story contest entry by Victor Surge. After finding its way to Creepypasta the entity took on a life of its own. Set in a small town in Massachusetts, the film centers on four high school girls who perform a ritual in an attempt to
