Agents Toria Boon (Cortney Palm) and Jae Novak (Cody Longo) partake in a virtual tour of a high tech prison named the Death House; an underground facility where prisoners are reformed via the use of holograms that let prisoners experience their past crimes again and again (using homeless folks for victims) for scientific study. Before long an EMP device detonates, and cuts power to the prison…and releases all of the homicidal maniacs within who follow the orders of Satanic Neo-Nazi Sieg (Kane Hodder)…who isn’t so fond of Boon. The agents flee ever further into the dark depths of that hellish prison where they must appeal for a boon from The Five Evils; the meanest supernatural son of a bitches to ever stride upon the Earth! The very first thing you will notice about Death House is the absolutely bat-shit insane amount of horror biz luminaries who appear on screen. along with the aforementioned Hodder (who really gets into his role

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, a re-imagining of the popular and ubiquitous Full Moon fright franchise of the halcyon days of video stores, begins with it’s version of series mainstay (and the eponymous puppet master) Andre Toulon (this time brought to life by genre legend Udo Kier)…a scarred French/German ex-pat who fled World War II Europe (when the allies defeated his Nazi pals) after committing countless atrocities with his magical menagerie of living killer puppets…atrocities he continues to engage in in late ’80’s rural Texas..living in a mausoleum peppered with iron rods that conduct arcane energy which he uses to control his creepy creations. Flash forward to Texas of the present day and recently divorced comic shop employee Edgar (Thomas Lennon) discovering one of Toulon’s puppets in a box of rando shit in his parent’s house (a hold over possession of his dead brother which he acquired at camp in his youth). Edgar decides to sell the puppet (series regular

Dead Night opens in the year 1961 as strange hooded figures abduct a young woman and impregnate her with their demon seed…which goes about as well as one would expect (I mean really, has “raped by a monster to sire it’s love child” ever had a happy ending?) Flash forward to 2015, and a dysfunctional family (and one friend) heads out in the family truckster to visit a remote cabin, under which a large quantity of buried iron is said to exist…why is that important? Because said deposit can supposedly render a new age cure for the family’s ailing patriarch. Of course this location is still home to those creepy creatures mentioned above, and they’ve been rubbin’ up on some corkscrew cocoon thing gettin’ it’s tentacles all a-twitter. We soon learn…via a true crime television show replete with cheesy re-enactments and commercials for a local politician, Leslie Bison (the legendary Barbara Crampton) that the matriarch of the fam, Casey (Brea

If you were eagerly awaiting Death House‘s arrival in theaters this week, we have a bit of bad news. You are going to have to wait one more week. The film’s theatrical release will be delayed by 7 days due to the massive success of Black Panther. Eric Parkinson, CEO of Hannover House, who is distributing Death House (review) in theaters, had this to say: Obviously, we are very disappointed to find such pressure from the exhibitors to hold-over multiple screens for ‘Black Panther’ but we are happy for the success that this film is providing to theatre owners, and we know that the slight delay we are implementing for ‘Death House’ will ultimately pay big dividends for the film.” There is good news though, Death House will premiere on Friday, March 2nd and will hold a media event open to the public at the Regency Plant 16 in Van Nuys, California. 20 cast members, along with additional crew members,

The largest cast of genre icons ever assembled will be appearing in Harrison B. Smith‘s Death House (review), in theaters this January. Originally, the script for Death House was penned by Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actor and genre icon Gunnar Hansen. Smith rewrote the script, keeping Hansen’s vision intact. Smith also got the okay on the script from Hansen just before he passed away. In the film, Agents Toria Boon and Jae Novak have their own dark pasts, arriving at Death House to tour its levels and observe its denizens first hand as well as the medical and mental experiments of Drs. Eileen Fletcher and Karen Redmane—their depraved experiments date back to the Nazi doctors of World War II. Prison cells are virtual reality holodecks that recreate prisoner environments before they were incarcerated. A special hallucinogenic gas keeps inmates under control. The victims are homeless bused into Death House to play literal victims while killing habits are studied. The results are

Well my little Monsters, what started out as a difficult decision as to which wonderful Woman of Horror I should focus on quickly became a no brainier. Based on her resume, Barbara Crampton was a more than obvious choice. Barbara turned out to be a belated Christmas gift for her parents, being born on December 27th of 1958 on Long Island, New York. She grew up in Vermont, and would spend her summers trekking across the country with her father, who was employed by a traveling carnival. Barbara caught the acting bug young and started acting in school plays in the 7th grade. Her love for the art continued to grow as she studied acting at Rutland Senior High School before going on to Vermont’s Castleton State College where she would earn a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts. Following graduation, Barbara made her way to New York, where she would appear as Cordelia in The American Theater for Actors’ production
