The ‘Creature From Cannibal Creek’ Stalks Its First Teaser Trailer

“Thousands go missing in the woods every year, never to be seen again. This is what may have happened to some of them…“ Nature Spawns a creature driven by vengeance with the desire to kill in the first trailer for Creature from Cannibal Creek. From director John Migliore (Exorcism of the Dead, Poltergeist Encounters) comes the film that pays homage to the monsters movies of the seventies. The film centers on “a group of cannibals that keep people in cages until they’re ready to be butchered. One of the captives escapes but dies in the surrounding forest. Nature soon takes a hand, reviving the former captive and turning him into a marauding beast.” Creature from Cannibal Creek has now entered into post-production and stars Deborah Jayne Reilly Smith, Simon Wheeldon, Jim Ordolis, Lena Montecalvo, and John Migliore, with cameo appearances by Brett Kelly (My Fair Zombie) and Sébastien Godin (Lycanimator). Juno Award-winning musician, Mike Trebilcock is writing the score for

Movie Review: Ghastlies Will Tickle Your Funny Bone…Then Break It!

Ghastlies begins in a way I’m sure we can all relate to…namely with a U.F.O dispensing toothy aliens that bite the shit out of a Satanic cult…real human condition stuff. Following that lil’ slice of gravitas we are introduced to four sorority sisters who head off to a secluded cabin in the woods where, as you may have surmised, they too are plagued (eventually…more on that in ye olde third paragraph) by those same menacin’ monsters from beyond the stars. Can our comely heroines survive this night of teeth, claws, and dodgy puppetry? Ghastlies is exactly what it sets out to be; a fun throwback to the Gremlins clones (Critters, Hobgoblins, Munchies, Ghoulies…especially with that satanic angle mentioned previous) your’s cruelly absolutely loved in his misspent youth…aw screw it, we all know I still love ’em! You get blood, boobs, practical low-rent (read: gloriously rad) puppets, and a ton of goofy fun. The whole affair is cartoony, surreal, and a

New Poster Unveils Tiny Terrors From ‘Ghastlies’

From Gremlins and Ghoulies, to Critters, Troll, and The Gate, horror movies focused on gangs of mini-monsters were commonplace throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Unfortunately, little to no output has occurred in the subgenre in the decades since. Thankfully, Camp Motion Pictures plans on answering our prayers for pint-sized creeps with Ghastlies, out on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD this November. In the meantime, check out this new poster, released today on the official Ghastlies Facebook page. Directed by Brett Kelly (Kingdom of the Vampire, Attack of the Giant Leeches [2008]), and written by Chris Bavota (Minutes Past Midnight), Ghastlies is the tale of three ghoulish creatures accidentally unleashed from an underground bunker by four sorority girls while on a weekend getaway in the country. With the pure-eighties tagline “Pure evil. Bite Sized.”, the film (starring Kim Valentine) is set to be a lot of throwback fun.
